    Ebay driveshaft

Not sure which forum to put this in, but I was looking through ebay and came across this company. Called there friday night and the guy was real nice, however not sure of the quality of the ds. High Angle driveline also uses 2" .120 wall so I figured that was a plus. But I was just wondering...

    Exploder DS

Is there any certain year explorer front DS I should be looking for when I head to the junkyard tomw? Ive read the posts and say that static length is 35" and thats what I need in the rear of the XJ, so just was wondering if that was only certain years or not. Thanks, -Matt

    DS Length with 8+ Inches

Hey guys, just trying to see if those of you that have 8+ of lift have had to redo the front DS? I have 8" skyjackers and it seems my front ds measure alittle over 32". It fits but is at its limit of travel minus 1/8" or so. It a 4.0, 5 speed with a 231. Thanks, -Matt

    Maxxis

I mounted up my set of 35's the other night. They are pretty thick, although I havent had any MTR's to compare to. I know they were pretty stiff to get onto the rim. Hopefully be able to try them out here in a couple weeks when the Jeep's done. -Matt

    D44 Spindle nut question

The 6 studs that hold the spindle onto the steering knuckle. Could someone please tell me what thread these are? The stock nuts have disappeared on me, and I cant figure out if they are 3/8 or 10mm. My tap and die sets both get locked up a few threads in so I cant figure out which I need...

    Distance question

I have a 90 XJ that I swapped a D44 out of wagoneer into both the front and rear. The rear is a bout and 1.5" narrower as most people know. I was planning on going with a 15x8 wheel, and a 12.5 wide tire instead of a 13.5, as well as 4" BS. What is a safe distance for the buldge of your tire...

    Flat top question regarding interchangability

I found some D44 flat tops for sale on the net, and are supposed to be off a Jeep. I have a Waggy D44 not sure what year prolly late 80's, no vacum. After readying through many articles I have gotten myself confused on whether or not they are basically just a bolt on deal. As far as not...

    Those with 13.5" tires

You have HPD44 out of a Ford I assume. I have a LPD44 out of a waggy. Do you know the wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface measurements on both your front and rear 8.8? That way it will give me a guage on where I am? Thanks, -Matt

    Those with 13.5" tires

What do they stick out there, maybe 3 or 4 inches? Just trying to get a visual on my jeep. I am not stuck on 13.5's it is just that I would like to get some 36" Irok's and they only come that wide. If its not feasible then I will just stick to some 12.5's . But I will just have to do some...

    Those with 13.5" tires

I am looking into some 13.5" wide tires. Looks like I will run 10" wide rims because they say dont go 5" of width over the rim? My question is, what kind of backspacing do I need. I just swapped in both front and rear D44's out a waggy, and am getting close to ordering wheels/tires. Just...

To those with skyjacker 8" coils

Can some give me a compressed height of a Skyjacker 8" coil spring. I am mocking up my front end and am doing things a little different and would like to set it up without the spring in there. On a different note though, I have a set of BOR 6" leafs with a 1.25" shackle. My shackle is pivoted...

Speedo Gear with 4.88 and 35's

Hey guyes, I am putting 4.88's and 35's on my 90 XJ with a 231. I have seen both list for the mid 90 and up and the later year XJ's. However the list for the 90 only goes up to 4.56's and 33's. So has anybody replaced the speedo on the same type of drive with the same setup as me? I need to...

    D44 Knuckle Rotation Question

Yeah I understand, however I have my knuckles already off the tubes so its no big deal to me anyway, especially since I work at a race car fab shop. So the welding is nothing to my boss, hes willing to help me out in any way. -Matt

    D44 Inner Axle Seal

You see now that is kind of what i thought. Being as it was that there was no seal in there in the first place. However since it is a "Master Kit" they just throw the stuff in there for either tube. You are probably right because my dad brought up the exact same question. Who has put some...

    D44 Knuckle Rotation Question

Ok thanks. I have read through the article many times, just forgot that it had mentioned from horizontal in there. So I did get the answer to my question. It is going to be a DD and after getting it up on my jig and everything 11 just didnt look like enough. I planned on going up another...

    D44 Inner Axle Seal

No, I had to order the outer axle bearings and seals seperatly. Im pretty sure that these are the inner as they look the same as the ones in the front 44 however they just seem to big to fit into the tube. -Matt

    D44 Knuckle Rotation Question

Hey I am about to rotate my pinion and knuckles. However I am not sure where to rotate from. It is a low pinion and everyone says anywhere from 11-13 degrees. It is going to be a DD with around 8" of lift, I was wondering if you rotate the pinion from stock location up 11 degrees or from the...

    D44 Inner Axle Seal

I bought a Yukon master install kit for my rear Waggy D44. When I disassemble it, where the inner axle seal should have been was just silicone, now in the Yukon kit there are 2 green seals. However they are about a 1/4" to big in diameter to fit into the axle tube. Is there a possibility they...
