DD, what would be your choice? Drop Brackets or long CAs?

I'm running DB's as well as Rusty's 8" coils on my DD with a decent ride. I am however going to build some long arms soon. Brad

    Hack and Tap SYE

Don't forget to use a center punch to get the hole started in the center of the shaft. I made a sleeve on the lathe that slip fit over the output shaft and was drilled .250 for a 1/4" center punch on the other end. Brad

    8.5-9" Rusty's Coil Pics

It never did bust off or pull out as it was only on there for a few miles. I made a longer threaded coupling w/ one of the RE super flex joints I had laying around. The springs are a little stiffer than my original set up but make the rear flex way better. Sorry no pics yet. I'm building a...

    8.5-9" Rusty's Coil Pics

I had quite a few requests for pics of these so I decided to start a new thread. The free length was 23.5" and 21" weighted. That is with a stub bumper and no winch. Brad

    superflex joint looseness

I tighten mine down just to the point of having no slop. I'm running 7 joints in my front and haven't had to adjust any yet. I only have about 3500 miles on them. I can rock my LCA's by hand (torsionally) with the vehicle sitting and they don't make any noise or have any play when driving. Keep...

    rustys 9" coils

I ended up at 21" of spring length full weight with the Rusty's coils. I was at 17.75 with the old 4" Trailmaster coils and 2" alum. spacers. My Jeep is sitting level now. First impression was a stiffer ride than the previous set up. These coils should make my rear flex a little better. Now I...

    rustys 9" coils

They are 5.5" in dia. I should have them on tomorrow. I'm sitting about 3" low in the front right now with 6" of lift. These should get me where I need to be. I'm wanting about 21" of spring length loaded. Any bets on how much these compress when weighted? Brad
