Had a lot of fun. That was technically the first wheeling trip my son had too and he had a blast. I haven't hit up trails in a while so it was really nice to get out and ride.
My next project for sure is to swap to a solid axle. I have the axle, just need the money for the parts to swap it...

My 4Runner starts now. My mower starts now too after installing a new carburetor. This weekend I'll replace the drive belt on the mower and hopefully it will be able to drive and mow!
I'm battling a no start gremlin in the 4Runner. There seems to be a problem with the fusible link. I jumped the link with a wire and was able to start it yesterday. I'll tear into the fuse box later this week and look at getting this fixed. Apparently it's a pretty common issue with these 1st gens.
I pulled motors on two lawn mowers over the weekend and put one back trying to find an oil leak on a Husqvarna. I also started doing a bit of work to the 4Runner. The previous owner had apparently hit something with the front bumper that pushed up the passenger side mount and bent the front body...
I picked up this 86 4Runner yesterday. 268,000 on the clock and it started right up and purred like a kitten. All gears shifted great and it drove the 160+ miles back home with no problem.
