I have an 88 XJ and just bought an 86 MJ to use as a work truck. My questions are... engine... 2.8 V6 Tranny ??? T-case... 207 Front axle ??? Rear axle ??? It is a manuel tranny, and it has the XLS package if that means anything. And yes I did search.

Does anyone know of an easy way to install a CPS? I am having no luck. :mad: I have dropped my crossmember and have the tranny on a jack but I can';t get enough clearance for my hands and a wrench back there. I am about ready to cut a hole in my floorboard!

I finally did it. I bought an 86 MJ. 2.8 liter V6 manuel tranny. I think it has a D44 rear but I am not sure. Does anyone know hat the stock specs would be on an 86 Commanche XLS? Oh and it has command trac. I will have pics in the morning.

I am looking at a 77 cj5 with an AMC 360. I am not to familar with the CJ's is there anything special to look for other then making sure the Xcase works and axles are ok, engine, frame, quick compression test... anything else?

I want to do what several people have done and use my exsisting radiator and my pressure bottle as my overflow. On all the write ups it talks about a new theromstat and 3 core and water pump, but all...

How tight should I tighten down the cap on the bottle? I am worried about breaking the bottle.

I don't know what in the hell to do! It is not locked. It seems like everything is engaging but it will not open. I took the panel on the hatch off and had my wife try to open it and everything moved except the latch. I don't know what to do????

As some of you know lucus from Tennesse is out in socal and wanted to "play in the rocks" so we took him out to Shredder Canyon on sunday and he watched as the big boys played in the big rocks then he followed us for some fun in the milder stuff. Here is a link he is in the goldish one...
