Agreed - it is more likely to clog now than before. However, I expect if it does clog it will pop the elbow off the small fitting on the top the valve cover as that is very easily pulled off. So it'll be easy to catch anyway!

Update, good news Drove the heep to work this morning and was pleasantly surprised to find that after doing this fix, the RPM's stayed right at 750 at idle. Previously they tended to hover around 675-700 when idling in gear. I figure the higher flow rate from the valve cover to manifold must...

I replaced the CPS about 6 months ago, I did clean the terminals and coat with dielectric grease. The terminals were fine but if I recall the stupid external clip on the connector snapped off, which is probably why it loosened up. I'll have to remember to wrap it with some vulcanizing tape...
