    Side output exhaust??

I've ran a turn down right after the muffler. it did resonate even with a nice big magnaflow and ended up running it out the back again. i had one smog tech complain that it was hard to stick the sniffer in and the hose was too close to the tires when putting it on the dyno.

Keep leafs or go to 4 link?

And this is coming from the guy that used to buy my old parts. You should know I dont pay for most of my parts. You should also know if you tow a trailer with a 400 lb tongue weight that the deavers arent happy with that load. SO yes, the RE work better for me as im not sitting on my bumpstops...

Keep leafs or go to 4 link?

I've ran both. The 3 link unloaded unpredictably , also had less travel. For leafs, ive ran deavers with a 6" shackle and 2.5" air bumps. Then needed more height so did some shackle boxes. Rode great on and offroad. good travel around 12" I ended up needing a little more capacity if i...

    Bucket seat in back?

i did it in my old jeep. used some bestop seats which were TJ style oem replacements. looked cool , but could only fit small children, no way an adult would be comfortable getting and and out, let alone offroading without hitting your head on the roof. Went back to the stock bench seat really...

    ARB PUMP

Ive tanked a rear bumper before. got about 2.7 gal air capacity out of it.Pain to drain, and just promotes rust. in the end i put a 2.5 gal tank on the rear shock crossmember, good free space if your running shock hoops. I have it all out now to re-do the air system with a much needed...

Toyota multi terrain view camera sys?

I had one i was testing at work for a few years in one of our JK's. pretty cool system but i really think it was more of a gimmick. I guess if you dont want to look out your window when crawling, it would be helpful. It used one in the front bumper , one in each side view mirror and one out...

    Air tank volume question

Air tank at 800 psi wont do much , maybe 3-4 tires. plus there is no protection for the valve or regulator unless the supplier has some kind of shield. My scuba tank is a 88 cu @ 3500 psi Ive seen bad things happen to scuba tanks when they fall over and loose a valve. Also some states have...

    Air tank volume question

no, 2.5 gal might have enough to dust off your dash board if that. with your size tires it might fill maybe 1-2 psi. I have a 2.5 gal tank hooked to my 12v compressor set at 90 on/ 120 off. a quick spurt of air from the air nozzle to dust off my desk and it will kick on the compressor. I...

    WTB XJ

I got something far from stock if you wanna add a 1 in front of that price. Once it got shock hoops, it ended up sitting around getting a cage, and sadly only sees the liquor store.

synthetic winch line brake heat protection

if its the new x20 with wireless remote, the brake is mounted on the motor and will not create any heat that would significantly effect the drum temps. during testing of that winch i only saw a 2-3° temp increase over the 10 min test. There are a few other winches with a out-of-drum brake...

Some Details About a PSC SP1205C Power Steering Pump

i have the same pump as yours on my jeep for about 4 years. I am running a gen right pulley on mine to speed it up a bit, along with an inline cooler. Steering is crazy easy even though my agr box is leaking from the selector shaft a little. I installed my pump then fine tuned the pulley...

synthetic winch line brake heat protection

you generally see the most heat increase when powering out. Ive measured a 76°F change. for a final temp of 164°. syn ropes will start to deteriorate at 140°. Strength will also rapidly decrease at that temp. There are several companies that sell heat guards for rope, so even kevlar...

Axle truss issue with UCA touching it

since its a radius arm, this is a common issue. I trimmed my upper arm ear to go around my tnt truss. Its because the new mounts sit higher up. you might want to run a rubber bushing in the uca mount on the axle. you might find there's not enough play in the JJ to allow you to...

they offer a straight thru i wanna say i did the 4x9 x 18" body. 2.5in/2.5 out then ran the tail pipe back out past the bumper like stock. This came after years of running a small race muffler with a turn down before the axle.
