Cannot feel blower/flow from passenger side defrost vent. All other vents and settings appear to work. For example...I can switch from hot to cold....from feet to vent to defrost....blower motor is fine. Just not getting anything out of passenger side dashboard.:tear: Any suggestions...
I am bumping this from May for some background info but I have a new problem.
I STILL haven't tore down seized motor...it is low priority.
I did finish install of '95 used motor shortly after last post. Wife has been driving daily since late May. One anomaly I had was the timing cover...
Thanx for that. They were both auto so I will pry on FLEXPLATE tomorrow. I never unbolted the CPS...I think it has been modified for easy removal already...it is hard to keep track of mods when you have qty (4) jeeps. The 99 XJ in question was always the "baby". It has been repainted...1K ARB...
The motor I plan on using has the flex plate....the torque convertor was PARTED with the tranny...is there any difference between a 95 and a 99 flex plate and is a flex plate the same as a flywheel? I am now drunk...I never claimed intelligence.:confused1
Up until last year I ran I94 from Jackson to Detroit almost daily...haven't seen one in FOREVER. I am off to google M54A2 and do another shot with the wife....
I'm just now reading your sig? line. I am jealous of the MJ. None have survived MI winters...I haven't seen one in at least 5 yrs. I want. What's the turbo? We talkin Dodge pickup cummins or 5ton or what?
You probly don't want to know....I'll tell you anyway. I am such a BILLY! I am bringing down property values wholesale. My farm truck I bought years ago gets started once a year whether it needs it or not...there is nothing left to bolt a crane too.....last summer I taco'd the bed lifting 50"...
Hey Kastein! Do you live here? Just kidding. That was ANOTHER fast reply. I used to be a machine builder that worked in metric....I could go 12mm on them. I dread pulling the seats...I'm sure the seat riser bolts r fubar. I wouldn't mind pulling the carpet and spraying it with fabric paint...
UPDATE: I don't really want to bump this because I still haven't inspected the motor.....
but the driveline is OUT. I pulled everything as a unit. The "green bushing" tip made sense to my dumb @#$ as soon as I crawled under it. Thanx again. I can't stress how dicey the truck crane pull was...
You lost me at bushings for the bellcrank. I will look for the green bushing in a bracket....tomorrow. Thanks again kastein. I MAY bug you again later...you have been INSTRUMENTAL.
Thanx for the quick reply...I'm sure I meant E12....I have a socket whatever it is I was able to get the driver side one out.
So if I have to pull the engine, tranny and transfer as one....where is the best place to disconnect the linkage for trans AND transfer case? They are currently both in...
Bumping this from March.....Just now starting to pull the motor.
I have stripped it down including the rad and grill....the only thing left on the engine is the distrib. and wires. I really struggled with the evap lines and trans cooler line on the rad. I have the stupid colored plastic...
I never saw it mentioned.....
Am I the only one who the part guy hands a 180deg. thermostat?
Every time? I have to hand it back. Why?
In case anyone who reads doesn't know.....
Your 'puter won't go into closed loop and your heat and MPG will suck.
I know the feeling(hair pulling). Is the tach bouncing from 0 to whatever rpm you were at? Mine would happen mostly when I hit a bump. Seriously INSPECT the shit out of the wiring harness behind valve cover by the firewall. Get your ass in the air and do it!
