thanks for taking time out of your vacation to try to help me man.......its nice of you! I have a buddy that good with fixing stuff ( dont we ALL)? lol.....maybe he can help me this weekend.....i like the 12V for my cell charger......and i use the smoke lighter too.....just has me stumped that...

i replaced both the fuses in #1 and #2....and the lighter and the 12V outlet still dont work......think it could be that cigar lighter relay in the diagram you posted? i never messed with a relay, do they just unplug? ty for posting all that info, i saved it for future reference!!!!

i will try replacing both of the 25 fuses......i was wondering if another fuse could be blown? like......does power go thru anything else that would affect the power outlets and lighter? its just weird that they both quit at the same time, and they have seperate fuses as far as i know.......i...

my lighter and power outlet BOTH quit working yesterday, i checked the 25 fuses under the dash, both are fine.....any ideas?

anyone know how to get my oil filll cap off? its a 2000 sport....cap just turns and clicks, but wont come off? TY in advance!

the resistor is found on the passenger side of the Jeep, kinda down by the feet, but up under the dash......im looking at mine in the morn.....

1988 Cherokoo......ive been told now, on here, thats its NOT the blower motor itself, rather, its the blower resistor......a lot cheaper, and easier to replace.......im gonna do mine when i can......im hoping HIgh holds out and keeps working for now, as its still winter in PA, lol......

Ok....my heater now only has High Speed, setting #4....the other 3 setting do nothing.....just happened overnight.......its a 2000 Cherokee Sport.......i guess im glad i still have High, but kinda a pain in the ass when its not REAL cold out, lol.....its just off and on now, no adjustment...

Forgot to mention.......i was alwasy told growing up to " drive like there is an egg under both pedal"...meaning, light use of both pedals, to start and stop......i still use this method to this day in my head while winter driving......no wrecks in my 34 yrs, lol......so far, so good!

with BFG ATs you should be fine even at 30psi.......depends on driving style and terrain, but my dads 2001 has those same tires on it, 235s....and we run 35 psi year round, no probs.......and we live in PA, so ice and snow are the norm in winter.......lower pressure would be even better tho, but...

id just try the cables....takes like 5 mins.....

scrape the insides of both battery terminals, with a knife or a post cleaner, until they are nice and shiny again.....you may just be surprised!.....worked for me a LOT of times, on a few diff cars and XJs......my 2 pennies....

Maybe this sounds stupid......but isnt the load range at the MAX pressure? why not just run a lower amount of air pressure, as the XJ is nowhere near as heavy as a truck......makes sense to me......i know they are made stiffer, but lower pressure shoud work?:shiver:

I gave a running 1989 XJ Laredo to a buddy of mine.......was going to part it out, but he uses it for a beater Jeep, and i always get to ride shotgun with him now......hated to part it out, since it ran like a top, but the body was SHOT, lol.....got me a 92 now.....its rusted out like swish...
