Yea I dont think that one will work. are you a member of nc4x4 website? there is someone in sc that has a transmission and tc that would work just havent decided if I should just drive up there to get that one or not.
The reason I ask is because my brother-in-law's jeep is having carb trouble and I was going to have to pull the carb off and was wondering if I should just remove some stuff. I will just leave it then. His is the selec-trac so Im not sure what t-case it has or diffs.
Has anyone removed the vac hoses on there 2.8? Was thinking about doing it, dont have any emissions test here so dont have to have it but not sure if it is worth it.
Another question, I wouldl like to have overdrive, If you use the newer trans from the 4 cyl jeep with overdrive how do you make it work, that is if it is electronic shift like Im thinking or am I wrong. Hasta
Yea I thought about the 4.0 but it would be easyer to just buy another jeep. This one was free so I figured I would work with this one, I also liked the 3.4 because it will be more like what it came with. Easyer to get parts when they break.
Hopefully Im going to get that trans this week...
I have been looking around here for some time so I figured I should sign up, My name is Daniel, In Birmingham Alabama. I have a 86 2 door cherokee that I am working on, I have a question about it though. My trans is bad and I found a 4 cyl cherokee that is a 1987. Will this trans work...
