is it necessary to keep this?? i pulled the bearing housing to change the u-joint and the shield fell apart. i'm not as much worried about damage or anything to the rotor as i am about clearance in the diff.

was there ever, or has anyone ever seen a dana 35 for the front axle of a XJ?? i found someone that says he has one for cheap, and insists that its a 35 in the front.... but i've never heard of this, or read anything here for that matter. just wanted to know if anyone else has come across this...

well... the jeep pretty much needs the suspension replaced. i'm definitally going to do the shocks and "soft bits". so, i'm looking at the energy suspension poly master kit. and still researching lifts. i think that i'm leaning toward the RE 2" budget lift with AAL b/c it comes with the shocks...

i've had this jeep since august, and until today the 4wd has worked perfectly, of course, tonight, when its snowing like a bastard the 4wd won't stay engaged. it will engage, and the light turns on. i can definitely feel the difference in traction, then a little while later it will dis-engage...

i was looking to replace some of the relay's in my xj, and i want to swap them all over to spdt if they aren't already. problem being, the local parts store wants 10 bucks a pop for them. but i found a relay on parts express for 1.50 each. they're a bosch automotive relay...

i did some searching last night... found the thread about voltage and resistance readings of a good crankshaft position sensor. (125-275ohm, .5-.8VAC) tested out my sensor last night and i had 218ohm and .433vac. is it possible for the sensor to be "sorta bad"?? i'm getting a random no-start...
