I am open to offers if the price is too high.

1998 XJ Limited - Moderately Built

Well I have decided to sell my XJ. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to really enjoy it the way I used to. It is a chili pepper red 98 cherokee limited. About 196k miles. Runs great, even the AC works. It has a 4.5" Rough Country Long Arm on the front, 3.5" RE leaf springs, RC...

Farthest from the master cylinder was always my understanding as well.

    JCR frustration

This isn't my first order with JCR...I have their front and rear bumpers, sliders, lower quarter guards, and these upper guards. I know they make great product. I don't need to be at the top of the list...the guys who have been waiting a week longer than me should be there. I definitely...

    JCR frustration

I am here to rant about JCR a bit. They are all nice guys, and their customer service is good, they make good products that are reasonably priced, they are into off roading...but I think they get away with more than they should on their wait times because of all of that. If they have enough...

Just picked up these WJ seats to swap

My WJ seats had the same recline lever (not power) as my XJ seats. I have a 98 XJ and the seats came from an 04 WJ. I looked at the auction pics and yours are completely different from mine. That trim piece may work on yours, you'll just have to try it I guess.

wiring up LED STOP TURN TAIL For light boxes Thor guards (w/pics)

Reviving an old thread but...do you need the flasher if you are using incandescant lights or only if you are using LEDS?

Just picked up these WJ seats to swap

It's very easy. You'll be using the XJ rails, and the plastic trim piece that the switches mount to because the XJ rails sit a little more left of the seat and the WJ trim piece doesn't allow for that. It's just 4 13mm nuts holding the seats to the rails.

    jcr upper quarter panal guards

I may be wrong about this, but it looks to me that the bottom bolts on the guards will be covered completely by the bushwackers and the guards will not have to trimmed at all...that is just a guess though.

    WJ Rear Seat Write-up

The WJ backs have their own internal mechanism with a latch on the top of the seat beside the head rest, so the stock clips aren't used with the WJ seat.

    jcr upper quarter panal guards

    1. Trailer light convertor 2. You are going to have to file the wackers a little bit where the quarter guards sit on top of the regular body, just the thickness of the guards if you want the wackers to be flush. 3. No tips yet, I SHOULD have mine this week...(I've been waiting over a month for...

Doing commander headlights on my 88

I think he said in one of his posts that he didn't have to drill any new holes into the header, so it must bolt to the core support somehow.

Doing commander headlights on my 88

You just said what you have to do in your post...cut your header panel and glass around the openings...If you aren't willing/wanting to do it on your only header panel then obviously you are going to have to get a second one.

8.8 broken center pin retaining bolt

They actually make a little tool kit for just this purpose. It has a guide and a long bit and an easy out. These are notorius for breaking...and a lot of times it happens on its own. The bolt is only threaded a small amount. The rest is just a smooth pin. You can hit the center pin and...

grand cherokee parts on an XJ

It is a V6 ZJ so the steering is not going to be an upgrade. Only the V8s had the solid tie rod.

I Boo Booed my XJ again. Need Advise.

Yeah I wouldn't consider ripping mounts off as a failure of the axle. The stock stuff is paper thin. Get some quarter inch brackets from Ballistic Fab or Ruff Stuff and call it good until you start breaking internal parts.

    Fender Trimming Question

If you look closely on this it isn't the trim that looks bad it is the paint job and the inner fender sticking down. The trim job looks pretty clean actually.
