Nope, just while its sitting in the driveway. Hard a hard rain the other night and there's about 1" of water in there. I pulled out all the carpet, and the rust isn't very bad at all which makes me think it hasn't been doing this long.
I tried spraying it with a water hose too and can't seem to...
Every time it rains my driver side floor board fills up with water. Only on the driver side. Has anyone else had this problem who might know where the water is getting in at? I'm stumped!
I recently installed a new thermostat in my 95 xj with a 4.0. The temp climbed steadily to 195 at idle, and then sharply dropped to about 150, then steadily climbed up to 195...then dropped again, then climbs up again, then drops again. It keeps doing this regardless of whether I'm at idle or...
found some oem style rigid vacuum line and 2 fittings at NAPA for about 5 bucks. The rigid line molds easily with a little heat. Looks good as new. Sweet...it's about time I had an easy fix.
I just broke the vacuum line going to my fuel pressure regulator. (Brittle as a stale saltine) Can I replace it with vacuum hose and fittings? Are the fittings easily obtainable? Thanks! I'm off to NAPA
I have a 95 with a 4.0. I changed my thermostat last night and on the way to work i noticed my compressor clutch won't engage when the defrost is on, and the aux cooling fan doesn't come on. I turned on the AC and still no clutch engage/fan. I haven't checked any fuses or relays yet. Besides...
I know one's for the computer(assuming its the one in the thermo housing). The service manual shows the other on the left side of the block just in front of the drain plug. There's a plug there but no sensor. I'll check in the back of the block. Thanks.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't have a coolant temp sensor on the left side of the block, in front of the block drain plug like the service manual says I should. I only have the one in the thermo housing? Anybody have a clue? It's a 95 with a 4.0
Spray some lube in the fitting to clean it out and grab it with some channel locks and pull. Lots of road gunk gets in there and mine were difficult to get out. I just fixed mine recently. I had to go to the dealership. They have a repair kit that comes with an o-ring, nylon insert, clip for the...
Sounds fishy to me. How did he know it's just the pan gasket, did they drop the pan and check it? If so, it would have been wise to go ahead and replace the gasket then. Sounds like they have no idea if its the gasket or rear main seal. They just want to unload it.
oh and just for the record, the 2 rear lower CA bolts were removed with a cut off wheel. No amount of heat and PB blaster would budge those things.
The other two I'll take a wire wheel to.
Thanks for the advice. I didn't think about McMaster Carr.
I asked about a 9/16" at Fastenal and they don't have that in a flange bolt as well. Guess they should change their name to FastenSome.
Has anyone easily found the bolts for the lower control bushings? Fastenal doesn't carry them. Their sizes go from an M12 to an M16. The CA bushing bolts are M14. Tried the dealership as well and they don't stock them.
Fastenal says they don't stock automotive fasteners since they don't get many...
I bought one from Autozone about a year ago and it started leaking a few months later. The pump and reservoir came in two pieces and the O ring seal where the res mates to the pump never seemed to seal properly. I did check to see if it was damaged or rolled when I assembled the res to the pump...
