it was available for a short time then they pulled it, apparently it did'nt flow enough air. i ended up using a ricer "ractive" filter assembly and modify it.
I had had a red top optima for 10+ years no problems, then switched to yellow top that only lasted a few years. Had another car with an orbital (yes I know it isn't a optima) and it only lasted a couple years as well. a battery tender would be a good idea.

off an xterra, I made the plates to put this on my 4.0 including the TB adapter plate but ran out of room under the hood. comes with gaskets, adapters. self oiling with boost "pop off" (can't remember what it is called)

I ended up making a similiar style filter using a "ractive" cone setup/ I capped the end with a pvc pipe cap and drilled a 3" hole then sealed it in with "the right stuff" I'll try to snap some pics.
I ordered one from Summit as well and never arrived. I talked to K&N who advised it was discontinued as it did not flow as well as expected.
I'd still be interested in using one for my snorkel. advise if it is recieved.
K&N does list the filter still but it has been discontinued apparently it didn't flow as well as they had intended.
It may be TheInstaller's thread I assume it the part used was off a 2001 1.7? any recollection?
K&N no longer carrys the apollo which was a sealed air canister and they have no current product that fits the bill. do you have a link to what you are talking about?
this was a factory honda piece and mounted on the throttle body.
I saw a thread that mentioned using a honda air box that sat on top of the throttle body. but cannot find the thread. I need to find an alternative airbox to attach to my snorkel while running dual batteries.
I'm still trying this on my 92 with a 94 computer. I grounded pin 10 and no luck. somewhere I saw that I needed to run 1v to the pin 10. anyone verify or deny?
I'm looking for a replacement rotor for my WJ setup. I'm running 1990 unit hubs. I looked at the specs on a sport trac rotor and it looks to be larger than a wj, the 2004+ ranger 4wd looked like the right one. any one have more details on this before I order? I accidently ordered explorer rotors...
