    Transmission Shop

Mogi or Rancho do a large majority of off-road auto trans work.

how to make the trans run cooler?

An item overlooked quite often on modified vehicles with auto trans is the quality of the fluid used. Auto can handle much higher temps with the proper fluid, not off the shelf crap. Look at Sweptco SWE-41420, it can make a very substantial difference, especially used with a good cooler. This...

someone asked me to find a trouble maker from KOH

That's whats nice about all of the BITD races. Its is also on public land but they completely shut down the entire area. If a Racer was to kill a spectator it would be a ugly lawsuit regardless of who's fault. I carry a 2mil policy just in case something happens to a spectator, volunteer etc..

On our way to Parker for the 425!

Sounds like the course will be rough like Henderson, if that ends up being the case you will definitely see traffic.

I think if you are going to spend the time to do a 9", for sure they need 1/4" tubes. Maybe there is stockers with them?

That's actually a pretty reasonably priced housing, all mig, not tig, but fairly strong.

    2012 Jeepspeed Season kicks off

We had a really good day, 1st in class, 24th overall. we had a really fast first lap and clicked it way off. We really wanted a win at Parker. Probably should have kept the pace, it would have gave us a easy 16th-18th finish. We will see if we can keep it going, it was our 3rd win in a row...

All the clearance needed, and you will never bend it in a Cherokee.

I have seen 9" tubeworks housings with hubs, brakes, no pumpkin for 1500.00. I think when you look at all the hours, effort, money that it takes to race even in a lower class, it pays to have certain components be the right stuff. Axles are the one item that will end your day every time. I would...

Its really going to be worth it in the end to stay away from any cast housing with pressed in tubes.

It looked like a lot were changing tires after the fast long road section

Richard you guys would have a blast in Jeep Speed, King of the Hammers is cool, but look at how many races you could do, and some are so killer like Silver State.

    2012 Jeepspeed Season kicks off

It was really cool, when we were on our second lap we must have passed 10 jeep speed vehicles in a row, all real close, and on the road there was a couple probably doing close to 80mph.

RWKHausSupply - What's Your KOH Story?

Full Floater is really the only way to fix that type of hit. In theory, you should be able to break your wheel in half and have no axle damage. Sucks that parts have become out of control expensive.

That's what I figured. Thanks for the correct answer.

RWKHausSupply - What's Your KOH Story?

Been their, but my question was, Did most break becouse of the rock sections or did the higher speed sections kill more stock class vehicles.

RWKHausSupply - What's Your KOH Story?

Not meant to be smart ass, but if it was easy, there seemed to be a lot of DNF's. Was it because of the high speed sections?

It was mentioned earlier, lube the flair well, I have found the drill oil works great.

I will keep my eye out. All the Pro-trucks are 77 inch out side tire to tire and there are quite a few extra axles laying around, They are full floater, 10inch and some older 9" 40 spline.

Should I know what that is? There are a lot of 40 splines out there that could have the snouts cut off and all you would need is a couple axles.
