I'm another one who can't stand the look of TJ flares on an XJ. No offense to those who run them, but they look horrible and out of place. I'd rather spend the money on flares that look good on my XJ, then dish out $25 and have an outcome like that. I'm more than happy with my Rusty's flare...

Well, finally got my flares installed. Here's a few pictures on my Jeep. Let me know what you think. I'm happy with them, aside from the painting quality, lots of blemishes, but nothing to be concerned about.

Yup. I ran a ground to the rack, and screwed it right to it. Then I just made little jumpers for the rails that were not connected.

I am considering getting a set of Rusty's flexy-flares for my XJ. Not that I've had any problems with the law running flare-less, I just would like to keep my Jeep a little cleaner while driving in the rain, never mind wheeling. I also messed up my quarter panel pretty bad due to my own...

I realize I should have made more cuts to get a better radius, but now that it's already cut and folded, what can I do? Is there any hope in getting it to look nice, or should I just resort to flares?

Or maybe pull all the folds back down so I can straighten it all out, make my cuts, and re-fold?
