I enjoyed this Crawl for a few reasons, but also miss a few things from previous Crawls...
Enjoyed this year:
- no set trail schedule, talked & got a group together & we hit the trails... Also did two evening/night runs (which were great as the temp & weather was nice)
- this trip felt more...
Almost nothing.
...other than a nice scuff on my cage B pillar from the flop, and a d44 hub (had new one on 20 minutes later) ...was such a quick break & repair I almost forgot about it
Glad you were alright Dirk!
Was not expecting to see that right after we got to camp... But the jeep can be fixed/replaced, you cannot...

I have a goal of making it to Harlan and home on one tank. 35 gallon...
Last year I stopped about 20 miles short to be safe, as I had already been pushing my luck at that point. It was also my first year with the tuner :D ...and my trip MPG dropped to 16.2 from previous...
I towed with the Dodge... Had to remember it was there!
I enjoyed catching up with Ed Sunshine & Jack too, definitely worth the time to help out NAXJA... Missed Stump though, he was out of town on the pick up...
I think having a smaller group would make the inspection/meeting easier...
I wasn't sure if the inspection had to be more/less NAXJA official... I did a quick glance at the rigs in my group as I checked radios.
...with only having a ujoint/ball joint break on LRG during the 2 full days I led, I...
• Axle shaft u joints, didn't break just missing the needle bearings (through spares in Friday night to prevent a delay on the trail)
• driver rear quarter dented & taillight cracked
• steering box leaks worse now
...nothing too bad, considering I did 0 prep since last Crawl =/
