Is the superior super 44 kit with 33 spline alloy axle shafts overkill?
What would break first, - the 33 spline alloy axle shaft, - locker(arb/detroit), -or the ring gear? Where is the fuseable/weak link?

Dana 44 axle with dented axle tube. Is it repairale or would I need to have the axle re-tubed? If it is repairale how would they (axle shop) do it? Would the gears, locker, bearings, seals have to be removed and reinstalled?

Re-doing steering this weekend, using QA1 xm series rod ends with 5/8 grade 8 bolts. Proper touque spec for this size bolt is 287 ft lbs. Will the ball of the rod end be able to handle this much tourque without damage/cracking?
