I work on ac pretty regularly. From what you are describing sounds like the compressor is short cycling. This is normally caused by low refrigerant charge.
A few things about refrigerant. I assume that this is a r134a system. R12 follows the similarbguidelines but there are a few differences...
Link doesn't work. Upon going to page on my own it doesn't say anywhere in the description of it that these bushings allows for a larger bolt. From what is listed I would expect it to be a stock replacement keeping the 10mm bolt.
More than likely I will go with 12mm or 1/2". But I'm curious...
I'm in the midst of upgrading some of the hardware in my suspension. Initially it started with a hardware upgrade and flex joint into the track bar. But I'm not a fan of the dinky m10 hardware for the upper control arms. I would like to step up to a M12 bolt for the uppers. It sounds as if m12...
How do these fit with after market or home built bumpers that tie in with the steering box? Or do we just need to cut them to fit our bumper configuration.
Woa calm down man! I was just posting up what these things were going for when together. I'm not knocking the jeep at all I even said it has a ton of potential to be a very bad ass rig. The ad on this jeep alone is awesome. He posted every single issue with the jeep. Whoever buys this will know...
I agree it has a lot of good parts on/with it. However at the end of the day it needs a lot of axle work with mismatched gears and bracket work and what not. For a lot of people that is a bit of a turn off. The motor work is awesome. Swapping a 231 is a nice perk over the 249. But a 241or would...
Good luck with the sale. I sold my rust free fully functioning 124k mint pretty much stock slate 5.9l for 4800 2 years ago. I also know of a few nice 5.9 ltd's for sale in the 3800-5000 range. I think the price is highly optimistic.
Why drill the rear shock bolts when they break? I pop the nut serts with a air chisel. Probably 2 mins a side. Then feed a bolt through with a lock washer or weld it and your done. There is no reason to spend a hour drilling a rear shock nutsert out as opposed to hanging with your family.
Rear bumper with tire carrier. I have some changes planned to the tire carrier portion as it tends to sag. I should of put the hinge portion on top of the bumper as opposed to hanging off the side. It does work well. Also the latch set up I chose is a pain in the but. I plan to change that to a...
This is the bumper I built. It has a very recessed winch mount that sits in front of the crossmember. It has not effected my approach angle at all as it is tucked in tight to the front of the jeep. Since I relocated the solenoid box under hood it doesn't sit above the grille at all anymore. This...
2 part bed liner for the underside is the way to go. My entire underside of my Xj is spray on 2 part black raptor liner. I primed it with chassis saver and then shot the raptor liner on top. I did this 4 years ago and it still looks like the day I did it. It's gone through 4 Chicago winters and...
I use Raptor liner. Pretty much the only paints that can take chemical abuse are two part paints basically anything you have to mix a hardner into. There are a few exceptions (chassis saver comes to mind) but over all anything with a hardening agent will hold up to brake fluid (for short periods...
I'm planning to go to the iro over the knuckle steering set up in the near future so I am keeping the factory links for the moment.
I understand that everyone is a bit different in setup. However they all should respond similarly to changes in geometry. While the jeep cruises fine the angle of...
Long story short I have to replace the pitman arm on my Xj. I was thinking since I have to remove and replace it. I was thinking about swapping a zj one in its place. I've read they are about 3/4"-1" drop over a standard Xj pitman arm. I do not have any bump-steer. The Jeep drives relatively...
I have 5150's with the 255/70 with a iron rock off road 5 inch. My ride quality has been very good. I also run around 26psi in my tires as well. If I air up into the 30's the ride significantly changes I still wouldn't call it firm but there is a noticeable difference. With my rig my tire wear...
i'm not asking if all our the same. I'm trying to find out which one has the smallest unjoint in it. I don't think that its off topic because its referring to a stock xj part. And since the column's were gm column's in the early xj's and then later changed. I'm trying to narrow down which...
