    Renix TPS Ground measurement

    What should the Renix TPS ground resistance be? Mine, from the "B" terminal of the connector to the firewall ground, the battery post ground and engine block measures 1.5 ohms.

    Checking a Manual Renix TPS

    Checked the resistance of the wiring of the terminal "B" on my Renix TPS (manual). I got 1.5 ohms. Is that high/low? I checked it from the connector to the firewall ground then to the battery post ground, then the engine block. All the resistance readings were the same 1.4-1.5 ohms.

    Who sells TPS for the Renix?

    Need a TPS for my 88 XJ with a Manual Trans. The local parts stores dont even carry them anymore (autozone, Oreallys) Rock Auto doesnt either. Ideas? Napa Website says they do...for $139. Dont know ifs a dealer item...gulp!

    Best pre 2000 XJ model year?

    Have a '88 XJ since new. Its a go to work truck with 276,000 on it. Thinking of getting another pre 2000 XJ. What was the "best" all around year model? Its strictly a back and forth to work usage, no off roading, modding, go fast, climb rocks, etc. Dont need 4wd and perfer an automatic.

    Just a whine

    What idiot designed the ECU mount in the Renix XJs? Spent a hour "trying' to "properly" reinstall the replacement ECU in my '88 upside down, twisting and turning my body in +100* Texas heat. To "properly" install the darn thing the connectors end up jammed against the transmission tunnel...

    Im in the process of checking the various sensors on my 88 XJ Renix (CTS, MAT, MAP, etc) The CTS & MAT are easy to do as I just unplug them and check resistance against temperature. But I need to know if the other sensors ie, MAP, O2, IAC, TPS etc need to be checked while they are connected...
