upon the 3rd attempt to pull it apart I have checked the linkage and it's shifting correctly, I have lined up the teeth correctly on the sync sleeve (sun shape that goes over the gears) and so it slides all together. I'll keep you updated. Thanks T-Rev

I have a 231 Transfer Case where I just changed the chain, got it put back together and it was only shifting from 2hi to 4hi but not into 4lo. I pulled it apart again and it looks like it's struggling to move from 2hi to 4hi to 4lo, how can this be adjusted and fixed. I am a dumbie to names of...

I've tried in nutrual and rolling. I did disconnect the shift arm and replaced it the way I found it.

I had to go buy a 1 3/16 for mine at sears and it fit snug.

Or try clamping the bolt with vicegrips but put a cloth around it so you don't strip the threat......that's a tough one or try a rotozip, kind of pricy but you'll use it for many jobs.

I usually put vaseline under the handles on the door, and if they are dumb enough to leave the vehicle unlocked, vwala, cake the steering wheel while your at it!! Oh and don't forget to throw something on the windsheld so when they use their wipers, you've lined it with vaseline also causing...

Hear say I don't konw the true reason but I've heard if the leafs are under the ax, it'll give it better clearance for the pumpkin. I just flipped mine (87 mj) from under to over and it gave me 6" with the stress leaf left in....
