I'm looking for a good, detailed write-up on swapping a complete XJ drivetrain into a YJ..... what I have is a '93 XJ, 4.0 H.O., AW-4, 231.... and a 88 YJ, 4.2L, frenchy POS, 231... I would ultimately like to sell the XJ (see here) .... BUT, if it doesn't sell than I will swap 4.0L and aw-4...

Are the gear sets the same for these two axles... the Precision site says it's for a 4X4......Are the 2wd's different......I just picked up a 2wd v6 Taco rear for my XJ.... need a part # for some 4.88's..... any help would be appreciated......

Anybody have a part # for an adapter for the rear brake line???.... I'm thinking that an adapter at the "t" junction on the housing would be easy enough to do.....Looking for a part # for the adapter......

ok so I'm messing around over at car-parts.com and start looking at '87-'89 cherokee dana 30 and dana 35 axles... they have an option for 4.56 gears for BOTH... everything that I have read says that they only came with 4.10's as the lowest... whats the deal..??????? are there that many people...

Here's the deal..... when I make a LEFT turn ,either sharp or sweeping, the brake light comes on. Doesn't matter if applying the brake or not... I have checked the fluid, while it is FULL, it does needs flushed as it's black..... I know that I need to adjust the rear cuz the e-brake barely...

I have a '93 Base model with a non-disco front axle... What size joints are in the axles.. Everything that I read says that the bigger joints are in '95 up non-disco... What about '93-'94.???????

Was just wondering if the front and rear u-joints on a 93 XJ are the same size.... Thinking of "re-building" a front driveshaft for the rear.... What do ya'll think.....????

OK here's the deal.... I've finally decided how much to mod. my 93 xj... Basically it's a d/d, huntin/camping rig...it will realistically see about 99% of its life on the streets...with the exception of once every couple of months trips to Barnwell and Hot Springs....Here's what I decided on...

I saw on here (i think) a thread about swapping in an 8.8.... someone had a list of part #'s for factory ZJ brake lines and all the parts needed to do the swap..... I believe it ended up being cheaper than the M.O.R.E. kit..... Does anybody have that thread or list handy... Been looking and...

Every thing that I have read says to use 8" wheels with 33x12.50r15 tires..... Has anyone used 10" wheels???? If so, had any problems... I was thinking RE 4.5", acos spacers, shackles or blocks, and 33x12.50's on 10" beadlocks with 4" backspace.... I could cut the fenders and use TJ flares if...
