The link between the servo and TB is a cable not a vacume line?

When i turn on my cruise control the cruise light comes on, but when i hit set, it just turns off the light on the dash and no cruise? Any ideas on the fault.:passgas:

My 2000 cherokee just rolled over 52000 miles and the check engine light came on?:( Any ideas on what might be going on? Do I need a dealer to look at it? I heard that Schucks will scan for a code for you?

Hey guy's i just picked up a 2000 Sport 4.0, auto, select trac from my brother in law who lives in utah. it has 50k and was garaged it's whole life. He was a pilot for Delta and drove it to and from the airport and that's about it. Is there anything i should know about this one compared to my 89...

I have just bought a 2000 Sport with just 50k party1: from my brother inlaw, but it does not have speed control:dunno: has anyone tryed to retrofit cruse into a cherokee that was not factory equiped? Thanks for the help i drive 2 to 3 k a month on the highway out here in Oregon.

I hope you guy's can help me, my 89 is running it's over a 100 degrees:flame: and i can't turn it off ! the switch will not turm back to the off position. I called the local dealer and was told to go buy a new lock cylinder and key from NAPA because he could not sell me one because of the age...

I have an 89 and you do not have to drop the tank to replace the fuel pump!:dunno:

I have had a low idle at start up and high idle when hot problem for over two years now! Have tryed evey tip posted on this site for renix equiped XJ's and still have the problem?

Was the leak in the tube that attatches to the valve cover? I can't tell from the photo. I have a high idle problem i am trying to locate a vacume leak.:smsoap:

How do you get at the vacume tank on a 89 ? Can you access it from below the battery or do you remove it from below the bumper? Thanks

I think i need to replace the single drive belt on my 89 cherokee? How do you check the belt for wear?It has been on for a long time at least 100k! How complicated is this to do? I had it replaced with the last waterpump it needed. Any pointers would be helpfull.:thumbup: Thanks
