Hmm, interestingly enough, when I started it up just now, the check engine light is still on. Shouldn't it be back off after sitting for a long period?
So, I replaced my Tstat and ran her last night. Everything was fine as expected.
On the way to work this morning, the check engine light popped on. I imediatly scanned my gauges. The only thing odd was the coolant temp seemed slightly cooler than what I remember.
Ran fine though. No odd smells...
It's to bad this isn't set up as a graphical poll so we could easily see what everyone is getting. I'm not sure what I'm getting, but last time I checked, it was around 13mpg.
I was in the area today so stopped to check it out. 2" lift, some sorta after market lower CAs, bad motor, dent in drivers side rear door, but not bad. with a motor, would make a decent rig I reckon. Not the prettiest xj out there, but seems doable.
I'm in need of a black grill for my 96. Please hit me up if you have one I could nab up for a good price.

The vibration is enough to make me not want to go above 60 or so. mostly noticable at 20-25, 40-44ish and near 65.
However, it's not horrible. My fiance has no idea what I'm talking about.
Oh, it also makes my antena do funny things at freeway speeds. so it's enough to cause a frequency to...
The spoon was the drive shaft 'cause it could rest easily on the table with the "axle"(pen) resting accros the bowl of the spoon. My fingers where the struts/knuckles
The little clippy part of the pen was a rough representation of the pinion.
I almost busted out the tape, but then I realized if...
Ya, after further thought I kind of suspected the same once I started using my fingers, a pen and a spoon to emulate the setup so I could visualize it a bit more (slow day at work).
On a good note, I discovered an almost completely ruined bushing in one of the stock UCAs when it was removed.
Hi.
Ok, I have a 4.5" lift on my xj.
I was starting to get death wobble, so I got some longer LCAs and put those bad boys on. totally cured the DW, but I soon noticed a low speed dependant vibration. Suspecting a bad pinion angle, I removed the front drive shaft and viola! It went away. So, I...
You're right. I'm just being a total lazy ass. I reckon I'll try and pick one up this weekend.
Hey, where are you guys located? I'm at 32nd St and Bell Rd area.
Hola peoples.
So, I have about a 4.5 or more lift. I was getting the d wobbles so installed some longer LCAs. Since doing that, I was getting some pretty harsh vibration at certain speeds, so I removed the front drive shaft and as expected, that vibration went away.
Now, the LCAs seem to have...
I may actually be ok on this. But I'm book marking this thread because knowing good ol' Murphy, he'll be back and I'll be calling one of yall in a panic to pick that part up. lol
In the meantime, I'm off to find some longer UCAs. :banghead:
