Tom I really like the way your XJ sounds. Is this the tail pipe you used?

Also is the exhaust shifted at all since stock is offset/center and the new muffler is center/center?
Thanks in advance!
Bringing this thread back to life. I know I told Doug I would send him some pics of the flares after I painted them so here ya go! BTW, I had the wheels extremely jammed up in the wells and only managed to crack the underside of one of the flares when I came down hard with the wheels kicked...
I'm in the same boat. Granted I'm at around 7" of lift with a zj front DS in the rear. I've switched back to the xj DS and its the same. Smooth as silk up until 70 and then I get a rotational noise that isn't constant. No vibes more of an on/off rotational noise. Weird how everything is fine up...
This guy.... it is a pretty clean jeep. We've both been fixing previous owners hack jobs on both our xj's. Its been an experience. Ingenuity>redneckengineering.
You should be able to use a motor from a 97-up. I personally would shoot for that anyways an stay with the 0630 head. You would have to get the distributor plug deal that replaces the distributor and you can always Fab something up for the coil rail. Plenty on here have.
I always order up some new thrust washers from the dealership. If u don't need them return them. They cone in a bunch of different thicknesses. You can also order a new cross shaft pin as well.
