Is it normal to see brake fluid leak from the master cylinder when taking off the front brakes?

Where can I find the Ballast Resistor on my 99xj? Also does this part go by another name? I had problems searching for it online.

OK, I found the leak. It was comming from the power steering hose. I had to turn the steering wheel in order to see it squirting out.

I'm sure it's not the valve cover because the leak is comming from under the exhuast manifold. And the exhaust manifold is spotless.

How exactly do you engage the fulltime 4wd. I put my jeep in N and engage the 4wd to high in order to get the part time 4wd. But what about fulltime, or does all models have fulltime? 99 xj sport 4.0

Few days ago I noticed smoke and a loss of oil but couldn't find any leaks. Today I found the leak but don't know exactly where it's comming from. It located on the driver's side somewhere under the exhaust manifold. Anyone know exactly where it's comming from? Will it be expensive to fix...

No can't say I bumped anything. The XJ had this problem when I first got it. None of the electrical would work but the lights would come on, That's about it. Then I read the key code thing and I can say with out a doubt that it resest my electrical. What exactly caused it Is what I'd like to know?

MY 85 mustang had the same prome it was the ignition coil wire. check the wire around the coil and the coil.

My shocks on my 99 xj I don't think have ever been changed. I want to replace them but I'm wondering should I replace the springs along with them? Also are all shocks the the same like gas/air etc.

99 Xj 4X4 4.0L. What type of fluid goes end the in the rear axle housing? When the guy at the oil change place changed it, it look like tranny fluid drained from it. When he replaced it, it look different than tranny fluid.

or is it just the body kit tha makes it look wider.
