    Turn signal lever replacement

Good news! My replacement multi-switch aka turn signal lever arrived in the mail today, and I was able to replace it without the headache of pulling the steering wheel, or removing any other parts for that matter. After goofing around with my old lever to make sure there was no quarter twist...

    Turn signal lever replacement

Nice, I can relate as I think my cruise has been on its way out for the last 2 years. I'll give it a go when my part arrives, and let you guys know if I can do it without removing the wheel.

    Turn signal lever replacement

Thanks guys, I'll revert to plan A: pull but no push and twist. ;) AlmightySam- I think I was actually reading one of your posts (here it is) http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=945275 and was curious if you ended up being able to make do without tearing into the column. Did you get...

    Turn signal lever replacement

Yep, that's the lever I was referring to. So then I don't want to pull it straight out? I don't have my new part yet, maybe when I see it things will be evident.

    Turn signal lever replacement

Hi XJ gurus! After reading through some conflicting/ambiguous information I wanted to ask a question about my multi-function stalk, and knowing that this is "the place" to ask it, here goes: I have a 1993 XJ Country (with cruise control) that has been having intermitent problems with the...

Bleeding Brakes on '93 with Antilock : Considerations?

Blaine- Thanks for the heads up. I actually didn't need to press the piston in to get the caliper back on, but if I need to in the future, I'll know what to do. Today I ended up bleeding all four corners, I think it's as good as I can expect. Forgot to mention in the first post that my ABS...

Bleeding Brakes on '93 with Antilock : Considerations?

Hi everyone! The vehicle is a stock '93 country I'll start by saying sorry if this had been covered in detail already. If so, I've had a hard time searching for it (three letters in ABS) and would appreciate a link if someone remembers the thread. Anyhow, here's my situation: A week ago...

Loose wires under dash- anti theft?

Everybody- I ended up figuring out where the solderless connector was supposed to be attached- the phillips head screw under the kick panel just right above the hood release had come loose. Tightened it back up with the ring underneath and I have a blinking LED again. Problem solved.

    VW reliable?

Hey cjsxj87- I'm not going to claim to be an expert by any means, but I just wanted to give you a little bit of insight- by mid 90's, I'm guessing you mean 94-98, otherwise know as the 3rd generation, or A3 chassis. I believe the 1.8l equiped jettas are good for fuel economy in the mid 30's...

Loose wires under dash- anti theft?

Hey everyone- As I was getting out of my '93 XJ (country) the other day, I noticed some wires hanging down under the dash terminating in a yellow-insulated, ring crimp connector. 4 wires run into the crimp-connector, 3 bigger gauge wires: black, blue, and white, and one smaller...

AW4 won't shift out of first in "1-2"

Hey everyone, I did some searching around and couldn't find a thread related to the exact issue I'm having; however, if this has been covered before I apologize, and would appreciate any links to get me going in the right direction. Vehicle: '93 XJ country, 4.0, AW4 I bought my xj in...

Used 1993 Header, free for the asking

Thanks Ecksjay for confirming what I was thinking- I'll take the old header to the scrappers when I get a chance.

    WHICH HEADER

I just wanted to leave a little feedback regarding my header experience last month. My local autoparts store set me up with a Pacesetter header (approx $220?) which went all the way back to the cat. It looked well made, but I would have needed to find an ERG bunger (mines a '93) and replaced the...

Used 1993 Header, free for the asking

Forgive my ignorance if this kind of post is usually put in the tech or NW specific forum, and feel free to let me know if I should move it... I just found my XJ in October, and made a point of listening for any weird exhaust sounds in the pre-buy inspection as I read that the manifolds are...

    Reader's Rig's

Hi everyone! I've been lurking around for a bit and I figured that here on page 111 of 'readers rigs' is as good as place as any for an introduction. Anyhow, I just bought my first Jeep in October, (actually my first hunk of American Iron period) and have since been enjoying all the goods to...
