I agree with Exxon... If you want to go fast or slow for that matter a cage is a life saver! It may add some weight 100Ibs give or take but if you are going 4.7 it will be able to handle the weight. A wreck in the dirt at speeds in an xj w/o a cage would be a bad day! A decent pre build cage is...

i have had the FT lift in for 4 years and havent had any problems with it. I am however looking to weld in the brackets bc i will be running 35 soon. I to have frame stiffeners so like jesse a said that may help. But dont over tighten the self tapping screws bc they will strip into the uni-body...
so there is a hose tha goes to a little box right above the engine groud that may b off but i didnt think anything of it. i will check thanks
the smoke is black but im wondering if its bc the air fuel mix is bad bc of the hose i will fix prob 1 and get back. thanks guys
Ok so i changed my oil last week from winter weight 5w-30 royal purple to summer weight 10w-30 valvalin synthetic. i changed the filter oil and re-did the seal on the valve cover. nothing new except oil. so my problem is now my jeep wont idle and it is putting out black smoke like its its job...
FT is the way to go. but as Chris420 said the rear bump top may rub. i just cut the corner off and its fine. and dont wheel with your disconnects attached or you could brake a relocating bracket. hope you enjoy it.

ya i have a buddy that did the RE short arms and a drop box for the lowers and he seems to like it. but i would have to say FT long arms r the way to go.
