    3.5" RE lift. Had to do some trimming on the fenders in the front but rear cleared just fine

    thats my xj. its also bolted along the bottom of the chassis rails. i have some channel running down the inside of the rails bolted on the bottom in the existing hitch holes. definitly firmed it up a bit in the back. and the clearance is awesome.

    i have had good luck with hammered paint it has only come off where the tire hits it haha no rock chips though

    i am running 33 10.5s on my eccos with a 3.5" lift it rubs the lower controls arms at full lock and i had to hammer the pinch seams in and i cut my fenders and the rolled lip off the front flares best pic i have that shows my flares trimmed

    it is tied in along the inside of the chassis rails as long as 4 more additional bolts on the back side corner supports with sandwiched quarter inch plate....i am not an idiot i braced it :looser:

    i would say yes it does affect the structural integrity but thats why you add lots of bracing
