Well I finally let go of the Jeep after 7 years and lots of $$$ from bone stock to rig to a new owner. Though I didn't post much here I did follow it a lot and will miss you guys. Until I get another XJ that is lol. For now my new baby is a 2002 Ford F150 Harley Davidson edition....i know I know...

I would like to do that, any suggestions on where to keep an eye out? other then the obvious valve cover, oil pan or front main? I am pretty sure it's non of those 3 due to the nature of the leak and attempts at fixes I have already tryed

It's been awhile since I've ran my Jeep...about 6 months. It has a massive oil leak that is getting everything in the engine bay covered in oil. I mean I changed my battery and there was a puddle of oil in the tray.
Now what is happening is mostly the passenger side of the bay is getting oil...

UPDATE sorry this is taking me so long but I finally had time to change my seals on the oil filter adapter,
IF YOU HAVE A 93 CHEROKEE IT"S NOT A T-60 TROX ITS A 9/16th ALLEN!!!
Sorry well with that out of the way all that came out of the change was cleaning and new seals on the adapter, oil...
OK well I figure I better add my list here too...
-Cracked windshield
-A/C howls at me
-The A/C panel lights up?
-Need to re-install interior trim
-need to re-hook up T-case shift linkange
-large oil leak
-oh heh it needs oil and a filter
-general tune up (plugs/wires/cap)
-belt bad
-paint on...
will be replacing the oil filter adapter o-rings as soon as I have some time to do it after work. I hope this is it I am tired of driving up to the base and having oil all over the place.
I did clean the engine as I said and only noticed the one leak off the adapter houseing and the valve...
YES, I am in the Air Force Reserves as an aircraft mechanic (KC-135/C-17) I am stationed at McChord AFB, WA....you would think if I could fix a multi-million dollar aircraft I could fix a simple oil leak on my heep :dunno: lol
ok well I FINALY had time to clean it, looks like a little might be comeing out of the oil filter adapter. I let it run for about 30 min while watching everywhere with a flashlight and that was the only leak, (other then the rear main) I saw. we will see after I drive it arround a bit and see if...
