'90 XJ I have a problem... I will be driving the Jeep and it will randomly shut the engine off, I will still have power and everything but the engine just stops and I'll try and start it but it just keeps turning over without starting.... then if you wait like 20 minutes it will restart again...

well, replaced the starter and it fired right up and ran like a champ about 3-4 volts higher then normal also. My guess is that the inside of the starter was friend and would continually draw power. thanks for all of those that help'd try and diagnose it.

well, we connected it to another battery and it does the same thing and just drains it bad.

replaced relay for $11.90 from Napa (was quoted $60+ from Schucks) and it now shuts off, thanks for the help.

while driving it goes down to 1/4ish and when stop'd at a light it goes up to almost half the guage (~210 I think). Heater works good, and AC works good.

ok... just pop'd the hood, took off the fuse box cover and touched the cooling fan relay and it shut off instantly.. that's kinda wierd.
