I did both. Multimeter is an "Auto-Ranger" which tested OK on the battery (12.5 VDC) and on several alkaline batteries that I had laying about.
It is "smart" enough that when I reversed the leads, it showed "negative" voltage.
I'm stumped...
I've searched the forums and haven't found anything specific to my particular issue.

At first, it seems like a standard TPS problem. Rough engage on start, 'bouncing' shifts between low gears at lower speeds (<35 mph).
