okay, so did anyone notice the clear shield it has in front of the headlights/front turn signals. I have seen it before on pics of another european xj.
did the right thing.
Man, the way that story started, i thought you were gonna say your mother-in-law was looking at those sites... in which case, you may have needed some counseling :)
put a candle down there. might manage to burn away some of it. its not gonna work super quick as the flame is tiny but it prob will help over a few hours.
Don't forget some latex/vinyl gloves to protect yourself if you are working on someone else who's bleeding. You don't wanna get hepatitis or aids from being a good samaritan (they don't always know they have it so they may honestly think they are clean).
I second the stitches but if you don't...
okay, now for part 2. I pulled the cylinder half way out but then it gets stuck. am i doing something wrong. the positions aren't labeled but i figure the "on" position is where the electronics come on but you haven't started the motor.

My ignition cylinder lock is frozen/seized in the locked position. The steering wheel is now also locked (thanks wife). It had been doing this occasionally over the coldest days over the winter but it would always free up...
I have a 2000 XJ and my front skid plate is from 1984 (came with the original Jeep printout dated from 1983). the two main mounts left and right mount up fine, the front of the skid plate uses several small bolts and nutserts that seemed to be a bit different but there where so many little holes...
The 98 won't have the new intake manifold which flows a bit better but aside from that i think its equal to the 99. Should still have a HP d30, hopefully a Chryco 8.25 (29spline) in the rear. Also if you are still in the market, nows a good time to decide if you are gonna want the Selec-trac...
i am pretty sure the 97-01 units are different from the pre 97 models. Remember you'll likely also need the harness and temp sensor. You may be able to get a 96 to physically fit but i'd wonder about the wiring communicating with the computer.
