Where would be the best place for the rame. Like if you got a hd steering kit could you drill the tie rod sleeve and bolt it that way, or would going in place of the steering dampner be best. i dont want to weld it to the sleeve i think that would be weak and if you hit a bad deal.
Does anyone know what POS steerings website is cant find it, i found some assist steering kits on tellico4x4 but there almost a grand just for the assist. So i want to see who else offers what, and since everyone else has posted own building procedures i guess ill probably be doing that since...
It will be a straight offroader when im done with school, and i have already shaved at least two inches off the fenders to fit 33's under a 4.5" lift so cosmetics doesnt matter to me i wheel about every weekend out here through fourwheeler trailers up rock hill climbs and through mud. biggest...
i put mine deep enough to cover 33's and some door which i had about 7 inches of water inside my jeep. I flushed everything soon after pulled the carpet and bedlinered it. Like someone said before dont let other tell you what to do, i did and got lucky i didnt screw anything up. I wouldnt do it...
idk what i want to do yet thats why im asking around. I would like coil in the rear , but i might just put boomerang shackles on it and call it done. for now.
If you wanted to test to see if its the ac condenser you took out, just take a piece of cardborad or something cover have the radiator with it and drive around see if it heats then.
I looked on rubicon im trying to get to about 8 inch lift total when im out of school. i fount 7.5" coils for 190 a pair, now i was thinking about just geting upper shock mounts and making it rear coil, im going to replace my 30 up front with a 44 so i was going to use the axle mounts off that...
You would hear that at all times if it went away in 2wd then obviously its a drive line issue. Just weird that it went away in 2wd if its driveline though. All your driveline continues to rotate in 2wd. Possibly something in the t-case with the chain or shift fork perhaps. How hard did you wheel?
As long as the yokes are the same on a 231 as a 242 you could check that in five minutes have him come over drop your ds and his and put his up in yours.
I have 33X12.50 on my dd i love them, will never own a different tire, fine on road little scary in the rain, but awesome offroad. Ive had mine for 5-6 months i live in indianapolis for school right now and drive home to st. louis a little over 300 miles probably once a month and they still have...
Damn if the transmission was held up via bellhousing bolts he could done a lot of damage. Rear main is probably tworn up and leaking, could have tworn up main bearings or the crankshaft itself, lots of stuff what do you mean by doesnt run to great, dies, or what?
I have a 4.5 rubicon lift, and from the outside you cant notice a lean, but when driving it you can see the passenger side leans. I have aligned it and messed with the springs and no luck either way just one of those things.
I have a 99 mine did the same thing, the window lock on off switch trick doesnt work anymore and my door locks are starting to do the same weird things. i ohmed out the switch its the master control switch, which when i priced it was like 170 for the master switch. If you can find it at a junk...
Hmmm... i dont know what pumps you can replace it with. I havent really looked into the stroker kit. My roomate has a 383 stroker in his truck and has a bigger pump, and my other roomate as a stroked and cammed trans am that he got a bigger pump for.
Ruining pumps by empty tank is due to them not being cooled by fluid and sucking in any debrit. When you took your old pump out was the sock on the bottom clogged or anything like that? Sounds more like the pump is strainging to push full through then overheating, you might be over working it...
