This seems like the easier thing to try first... yank the module... then if that doesnt do it, i'll try the resistor coil. i tired pulling the tab to the left but it still isnt releasing..... such a pain of a spot eh?? my hand barely fits in there..

naw i wanna get it out, because its causing my tail-lights and dash lights to no-worky.

ahh sh-t... forgot the most important thing.. 89 xj how do i release it? pull the clip away from the module? or push it in? etc...

I've tried everything to get teh damn thing out and it won't come. it wiggles and feels like its coming a bit, but its just stuck. I know there is a release on the left side, but can someone explain in the dumbest terms possible how to release it.

when my power steering cap popped off, it got fluid all over the the front driver side corner of the engine bay... i started it and checked out underneath and there appears to be a distinct rattling/vibrating from the middle of the truck.

also sorry... for the record... its a 1989 XJ 4.0l

forgive my ignorance... but what is tps? i have an auto, i've put it in all gears D, 3, 2-1, 4L, 4H and nothing... the tach revs but there is no go. reverse still works fine. i tried earlier and it did the same, but only rumbled ... kind of shook a bit went forwarda bit... but quit soon after.

I'll give you the syptoms and any suggestions on whats the problem would be greatly appreciated. - transmission when in drive has no go, or if it does go, truck kind of rumbles and struggles to get moving. - reverse works fine ( drove down the street and had to reverse back to my driveway) -...
