I am looking for replacement front hub assemblies for my 1995 Jeep XJ RHD. I have come across this http://www.ioffer.com/i/30879196 in my hunt. Does anyone have any experience with buying from these people, or the quality of product they are selling. The price seems much cheaper than anywhere...
I took my starter out on Wednesday night, had it serviced on Thursday, came back looking like new with new brushes etc. I put it back in last night and everything is running sweet.
Of course after the mishap on Saturday it ran fine the rest of the week anyway.
When I took it out it had a...
Right, I have worked out that it is the starter motor. Tried swapping the AC relay with the starter relay, still no go. Jumpered the B & C pin on the cable from the NSS and no go, got under the jeep and shorted out the two pins on the starter nothing, nothing apart from a spark - hit the...
Thanks for that suggestion. As a result I found http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoNSSrebuild.htm which has a good description of how to take the NSS off, and clean it up. So that is what I will do first.
I will post up what the result is, may be a day or two before I can get that all done...
The Title more or less sums it up. I took our dogs down to the river for a walk this morning. The '95 Jeep 4.0l HO, auto went fine on the 2 mile drive. After 40 minutes of walking the dogs I hopped back in, turned the key, the usual lights came on, whistled/beeped at me and I turned it to...
I had the same problem when I went 4wd-ing for the first time, was ready to get underneath and push and prod but it turned out to be some coins had fallen down the slot and were jamming the transfer case lever from going back down. The indentation on the centre console for coins is in a perfect...
I ordered a new Bosch oxygen sensor from Summit Racing, arranged to have it posted to New Zealand and installed it today - what a difference. It's like a new motor has been fitted, the sluggish feeling that was there before has gone, definitely breathing easier.
Worth the investment, and the...
Hi guys,
due to falling fuel consumption and 220,000 kms (130,000 miles) I am going to swap out my front oxygen sensor. Down here in New Zealand they charge heaps for Jeep parts, so I tend to import them in from the US. Looking around at Summit Racing and others the two main brands of Oxygen...
If it helps I would like a set too. Broke my right hand side tail light on Boxing Day sliding sideways into a steep bank. Only problem is it will need to be shipped to New Zealand, tho' I am happy to pay the shipping (if it is reasonable).
So add me to the list of those waiting for the next...
I live down under in New Zealand and drive a Right Hand Drive (RHD) '95 XJ. I would like to fit a long-arm kit to it, so that I can run 33" tyres so I don't bottom out in the deep ruts left by the Nissan Patrols & Toyota Landcruisers that are prevalent down here.
The majority of the...
I have also had this problem recently, engine would be hot and just suddenly stop on me. I also had two times when I had been climbing hills and turned the jeep off to enjoy the view and then it would take 20 minutes or more before it would fire again, would crank fine.
After reading a number...
I had a similar problem with no instrument panel lights, or tail lights - cause was a blown fuse in the block under the dashboard on the right hand side.
I had removed the stock rear tyre carrier, and decided to move the license plate back to the original position so had also removed the...
That could be interesting. At the moment I have a '95 Jeep XJ and a '95 Mazda MPV 4WD sitting in the driveway side by side.
Though I don't think my Mazda has an electric locker in the diff, I know it has an electric centre diff lock as in the transfer case, or maybe I have got that wrong as...
I just received the build sheet for my '95 Jeep XJ, which was originally sold in Japan, and then imported into New Zealand as a second hand vehicle. Definitely a few extra lines related to Japan and Export. I also wondered about the Tinted glass, because I have put tinted film on my rear side...
Thanks, wasn't easy as it assumes you are US based but I live in NZ so I had to fudge the post code and the telephone number as it does some form of checking that they are valid.
I have just done some further searching and found references to 93-96 ZJ Manual Transmission, not 95 XJ Auto.
On autopart.com there was 1 reference to 1995 XJ but manual
What gives?? :dunno:
I live in New Zealand and drive a RHD 1995 Jeep Cherokee with the 4.0HO motor, Auto, and NP242 transfer case. Recently I have had some issues that I believe is related to the CPS - having read a lot of the threads on here.
I have just removed the CPS & the part # on it is 56026921, which...
The O2 Sensor is the one that taps into the exhaust pipe just in front of the muffler?? My exhaust has also started to turn quite black, I am looking at having to replace the CPS due to intermittent shut-down problems, but it sounds like I might have to replace the O2 sensor also.
1995 Jeep...
