Crap idle due to bad brake booster?

I assumed it had a limp home mode since it wouldnt shift above 2nd with the tps bad. New tps and it is fine besides bad idle. I am cleaning the throttle body and checking the air intake tomorrow and the egr is good too. Brakes have been bled and through troubleshooting on here, it points to my...

Crap idle due to bad brake booster?

So I replaced my TPS because my idle was crap like 250ish and went into limp home mode. '89 4.0 stock motor with auto. Replaced the TPS and not in limp home mode anymore but idle still is around 250ish and yes it was adjusted. My brakes are garbage like on the floor so I know my booster is bad...

    Bogged down with low RPM'S

Here's a pic of what I'm talking about along with the loose cable that goes to the throttle. I disconnected the electrical to this beast and nothing happened as for throttle response and such.

Also my issue is it's runs good for the first minute and then starts acting up. I'm currently going piece by piece and checking over stuff.

    Bogged down with low RPM'S

Overheating was solved by replacing hoses that were filled with junk so water flow was minimal and then I just left the thermostat out because it wasnt being driven regularly. In inspecting vacuum lines and such I had found that the mechanical device attached to the firewall on the passenger...

    Bogged down with low RPM'S

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like good times ahead for me LOL I know people may have something to say about this but I took out my thermostat this summer because Redding heat had me running very hot and so I know it would run richer but haven't had any problems but for the last day so maybe the...

    Whats with all the quakes??

My in-laws live in Eureka in a 3 story plus full basement 100+ year old house so needless to say, they had lots of cracks in the plaster and doors that won't open all too easily. Everything that was on any kind of shelve or anything, was on the floor when they got home and their couches had slid...

Those who have a 4.5 lift

Running 33's on my '89 with 4.5" lift for over 3 years now. No t.c. drop and no s.y.e. I just put on the lift one day and started to drive it with no problems. I go offroad a lot but nothing too extreme and have had no problems.

    Manual switch for aux fan?

I have done this and I think alot of others on here have done this as well. Just get a toggle switch and it will take 10 minutes to do. I'm sure using the search feature on here you'll come up with plenty of simple step instructions.

    creaking after lift

Make sure that you tightened everything correctly. Sounds too easy but I've had things loosen up and start creaking and then once it's retightened, no more noise.
