Here's a link to my Jeepspeed build where I cut the top off:

It's probably not what you had in mind but it might give you some ideas.
As far as tire weight goes, I have a similar situation. I put 315/70/16 Falken tires on my Jeep. It felt sluggish. I checked the weight after I had purchased them and they are listed as 77 lbs by Falken. I looked up 35 x 12.5 x 15 BFG A/T and they are listed as 54 lbs by BFG.
I'm guessing the...
Selling off the last of the Jeepspeed part out. Here's what I have left:
(1) 15 x 7 American racing type 23 - $50
(1) Superlift trackbar, used and needs heim for frame side - $40
(2) Lower control arms I made new with 1 side JJ/1 side rubber bushing fixed at 16" - $60
(4) Urethane donut...
I ran that exact set up you have a picture of on my old daily driver. I liked it and I didn't get any noise from it. I think I ran 9/16" bolts because you'll need misalignements for the travel.
I used 1.25 x .120 chromoly for the tie rod. I've used this same size on our old Jeepspeed and never...
Sorry no pics, but they are made specifically to the Jeep so I'd probably throw them in with the chassis. I have 1 front and 2 rear (1 that hold a single spare laying flat and another that hold 2 standing upright).
Sorry somehow I left out that I'd take $3000 for everything listed here. This project isn't for everyone but for the right buyer it is a killer deal for all the time, materials and skill that brought it to where it is now.
1993 Jeep Cherokee 2 door Jeepspeed project. Really good quality fabrication. I'd like to sell complete but I will part out. I can be reached at 714-292-5010. Here's a link to my Craigslist ad:

Fenders, bumpstops and shocks are sold. Sale...
I've used the Tera flex knuckle on a couple builds and loved it. Hind-sight the WJ is where it's at but I'm too lazy to source all the components. I'll never run reverse Y or T after having run true crossover steering from the Tera knuckle.
I agree with you Cal with one exception. Based on Jeepspeed rules, we ran 2.5 bypass shocks in the Jeepspeed and they would fade after a short while. We switched to 3.0 smooth body shocks and they didn't fade for a long time. For us the car handled best with shocks that didn't fade over shocks...
I've seen this done before a while back. It looked like a 2.5 body shock with approx 10 inches of travel. The body was maybe 25 - 30 inches long and the bottom half carried the coilover and the top half had the bypass tubes. It was a custom setup and tough to package in almost every application...
