    sudden drop in fuel economy?

    They start to dry out and drag some. Its kinda like holding the brake slightly while driving. Added resistance = more work the engine has to do.

    Jeep getting stuck in 4wd...??

    My 93 has troubles with coming out of 4-lo, my problem is a bushing in the linkage on the bracket that bolts to the trans. Check that out too, a $.35 bushing is alot easier on the piggy bank than a new t-case.

    Dana 44 C's?

    I am not sure if this is the right term, but that is what they look like. The c's I am talking about are the C shaped outer part of the axle the ball joints attach to. Now my question is, where can I but a set of weld on c's for a dana 44? Thanks

    Welding helmets

    I have a Hobart Hood and wouldn't use anything less. Some of the cheaper ones will stay dark longer than they should, mine shuts off right when the weld is done. The price has come down on them to $150 also.

    I need some welding advice

    I was told to weld brackets to an axle use a 7018 rod and preheat the axle housing and use 190-200 amps with the arc. Hope this helps.

    Pros and Cons of 30" or 31"

    I went with 31" BFG MT with a 3" lift and had no troubles on factory steel spoke rims and I wheeled the snot out of it. Stick with a 10.5" wide tire or narrower. It may rub the lower rear part of the fender flare with 31's at full lock and stuff. It really just depends on how you drive off road.

    Tough Cupholder!

    Is that the one that 4wd.com has? Thats the one I have and it is durable, the only complaint I have is that it has too small of recessed holes in it for beverages. 12 oz cans fit 20 oz bottles don't. Other than that great idea.

    Anyone interested in wheeling at the Cliffs in Marseilles the 18th and 19th? Right now there is a few of my buddies and I going my Xj on 33's, Wrangler on 39's, cj2 on 31's, stock Rubicon, and a bronco 2 on 33's. Any takers?

    Cheapwad beadlocks part II

    Brake fluid on the bead works rather well also and everyone has some laying around. It kinda turns the rubber into glue and is definately cheap. I learned this from a guy who does competitive rock crawling with 37" boggers and no locks or problems in the 6 psi range.

    Trans xmember bolt removal

    Won't that weaken the unibody? I am doing a long arm setup that uses the crossmember as the rear mounting point and am not afraid of the skinny pedal so weakness is not an option. Thanks
