Hi all i have a 98 sport that has a 93 wrangler 4.0 in it that had a claimed 60,000 on it when i installed it feb 2012. in the past month or so its been making a loud rattle or ping when you let off the gas after running up to speed.
well its ben in for a week and i have not heard from her so i guess it works ok, i could not open it up as the girl that owned the car was waiting for me to install it
well the one that was on it broke trying to remove it.I went to to junkyard today to try to get one but no luck.
so back to the Q at hand who has bought one of the cheap ones?
also can you use a 97-01 one? do you just splice on the old plug or what...
Has anyone bought one of the nss's that are only $80?
and yes i know you can clean it. if you can get it off without breaking it. oh and this is for a 96
i did some checking on the advance auto site(should have just done that first) and your right the booster have a diffrent part # 3154 vs 3152 but the mc is the same. we are getting the 2000 parts free so i guess its worth a shot
did you adjust the rear brake so theres a light drag on the drums? how much bleeding did you do? also did you just get this or did you guys have it then the brakes went bad?
a friend has a 90 with the pos abs on it. we can get parts from a wrecked 2000, will the booster and other parts work on it? i'v read on here that a 95 booster is better and fits but dooes that inculde all after 95?. i did search and found that write up a guy did on the swap but he used 91 parts...
i'm trying to get my 98 md state insp. and the shops claims the brake warning light should come on when you turn the key on. it lights up when you pull the emg. brake. my 94 zj and 90 mj are the same way
so the Q is does your dash brake light come on when you first turn the key?
my 98 had the same codes turned out to be the solinoid. i got one at a pick&pull out of a 91 i think it was. it was bigger but it bolted up fine and works. you have to drop the pan to get to it
well i went back there on the 23rd. to take a better look at it and it was not too rusty and the nuts where 3/4"
my brother wanted a trailer hitch for his f150 and has a gas powered air compresser so we went back this morning and someone had beat me to it,should have took off work early the day...
what year is yours? this one is like 18-19 years old and where they use salt on the roads. they might come off easy but it would be quicker to just snap them
Garry
yea i have all those sizes in my tool box but what i asked was what size are they so i can buy a good 6 pt. deep socket that won't split when i use a 4 foot pipe to break them off
