I actually bought an off brand, made in china...didnt fit right, couldnt cross reference the application, total pain in the ass. Picked up the Precisions, good fit, decent price, no problems.

also check the block casting. that will at least let you know something about the state of your powerplant.

x2 on the vacuum lines. Also, please listen to EcoMike on this stuff...o2 sensors can throw your whole rig outta whack. keep us updated on your progress.

mine does the same, and I'm nearly positive that it's an alignment issue. I've never aligned a 4wd before though. My buddies tell me that you can do it yourself without a machine...anyone else?

jump it and let it run. shut it off and try to start again. if no go, it's the battery. If you still have problems, test the alt.

wear, time, heat...check your spark too though and look for any burned wiring.

pb it, slide a block of wood up under it and drive a tapered punch ( looks like a chisel, but round shank ), and drive it on through. If it still has the nut on it you can always buy a nut buster ( it fits down around the nut, has a chisel point on it and you screw the chisel point down until it...

take a center punch, drive out the hinge pin. Pull the wires out of the body or the door until you find the plug. Set doors aside, take the old hinge pins to your hardware store and buy some new tapered pins. Reinstall doors.

I'm just guessing, but I'd say that there arent any Jeep dealers where he is. I'll do a little poking around for ya at the local dealership and post what I find.

EGR may be a bit sketchy. I've run down the vacuum lines this afternoon, and the lines are good but the 3 way solenoid that activates the valve may be bad. Would this cause a "rich" conditon? The solenoid that I'm talking about is inline from the fender control to the EGR itself. Thanks Bob
