Was planning a trip up to Slick Rock and Deer Valley around June 17-20. After seeing this, I'm thinking we'll need to check out another area. DAMN this weather!
That sounds like a good solution for what I've got. Thanks Jerry. You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of that setup would you? Is the Summit cat the generic/universal one, or is it the direct replacement for Cherokees?
Just got done installing my transfer case skid plate from JCR offroad, and the stock bulbous catalytic converter is rattling against the skid. It's mostly on bumps and when turning the engine on and off.
I had been thinking about a new smaller, high flow cat and muffler that would tuck up...
Wink, I'm not sure I follow what you're saying. I know brackets such as the JCR ones use more bolts to tie in, but I don't see how this would be bad in an impact. The stock bumper is definitely no better, and I'm using 1/4" thick steel for everything.
I'm mostly looking for sheetmetal and...
Just wondering if anyone has used the OEM or C4x4 style tow hook brackets as bumper mounts with D-rings, instead of the larger frame tie-in brackets. I won't be mounting a winch or anything. Light duty, mainly for impact protection.
Seems like if those tow hook brackets are good enough for...
Good suggestions. I've already dropped a ton of money in parts in the last few days though, so $400 more might be hard to swing. Is it a full kit though? And how hard is it to install?
Doing some maintenance on my jeep, and I want to replace the tie rod, tie rod ends, and any other wear items in the steering. Mainly I'm curious what I should get besides new tie rod ends and an upgraded tie rod such as the JKS one.
I'm always having to adjust the drag link adjuster sleeve to...
I'm no expert but I would think those ratings have to do with the strength of the metal rings. It's still only going to be as strong and safe as it's weakest point, which may or may not be how it is attached to the bumper.
Been noticing a hum under acceleration at freeway speeds that gets louder with more gas and goes away if I let off. I'm thinking ujoints or the pinion bearing? I'm really not as familiar as I should be with stuff back there, but I'd like to figure out where the noise is coming from before...
Hey guys, thinking about what I would like for Christmas, and I've wanted a Digital camcorder for a long time and now I think they're getting good enough and cheap enough that it's time.
My question is, I know some cameras have image stabilization, but I also know some video editing software...
Oh yeah, duh. I found this write up, now I just gotta find a source for these arms. Thanks for the tips!

So I need new control arm bushings, as mine are shot. I'm currently running a Rubicon Express 2" BB with 31x10.5 tires, and of course they rub at full lock. I had read that swapping in wrangler control arms would be beneficial because they have a different shape that clears tires better. Does...
So, I eliminated one bad ground last week that was affecting my headlight harness. Nothing else was affected at that time. That's been fine for a few days, but today I turned on my rear window washer/wiper and heard a click. Suddenly I didn't have:
-front and rear wipers
-turn signals...
Interesting charts. From the few that I've seen online (I'm not too familiar with this stuff), it seems typical that real results from everyday people's cars never match the stock claimed power numbers. Why is that? I mean, I realize that with age, output might decline but really that much? Or...
