my jeep has an assortment of problems, but when everything is just right it works great. it is a 88 4.0 with 370k. it stopped working after i pulled and fixed a leak in the radiator. when you turn the motor over i get no fire. i have checked the fuel pressure and i have voltage to the ignition...
why is it alot funnier to read the pirate guys flame someone? yes a welded diff is not optimal. a spool might be better. a locker might also be better. but isnt the point of having a jeep breaking stuff? i mean if you were so worried about breaking stuff then you would stay on the pavement. i...
a rodeo axle will be a dana 44 probably have disc brakes and 4.10 gears posibly a limited slip. and best of all it is 6 lug. not a direct bolt in but if it is that easy is prolly isnt good fo ya :lecture:
04 heritage f150 is the old body style f150 (97-03) it is a 8.8 rear axle the heritage is the only 04 ford fulsize to come with the v6. in the new body style they only offer a v8 4.6 and 5.4 that is. probably a 3.55 or 3.73 rear end those is a common gear ratio in fords
try to find a decent vortec 350, get the long block use the gmpp intake or adapt the eldebrock airgap intake for a gm tbi unit. you can have alot more power 280hp and 390lbs tq run a 4x4 700r4 and a sblazer transfer case or a ful size transfer case. and i think the 242 is the transfer case in...
found the awnser on pbb and a google search. there is no carrier break on the 9.5 inch ring gear. and btw it is pricey to put any type of locking device in this axle. it is almost as cheap to put a limites slip as a lock and for a about a hundred more you can get a ected diff like in the h2
just wanted to make sure after searching that his info is correct on the 14 bolt semifloater on the carrier break. trying to decide between a lunch box locker or a full locker.
here is a link for the same control arms for almost half the price.

it is off of ebay unless the shipping is horrible i think this would...
the dana 60 is a stout axle but remember you do lose some trtength when you go to a semi floater set up as full floating axles are stronger by taking the inital weight load of the vehicle off the axle shaft.
i think shock off of a zj or wj are longer than stock. i might also try 87 f250 shocks for the front and 81 chevy rear shock for the rear. both will accomidate approximatly 3" of lift.
kick this around on pirate i have remember seeing a link for on that cost about 150 to 200 bucks for the bender and another 125-150 for the dies. i think it cost a lil over 300 with one die. if you stick with a medium sized pipe like say 1.5" you could have a cheap bender and make it practical...
in gearing on a v8 it is a whole different animal. comparing a 4.0 to a 350 is like comparing a mild 350 to a mild 454. or in jeep terms a 2.5 to a 4.0. if im wrong you tell any one with a 2.5 to put 4.56 with 31's and 4.88's with 33's, and where are the rpms on that. on a small block with 32 in...
i was looking to find the cheapest adj control arms. im going up to about 6" of lift and have all the pieces for it except these. they are going to be temporary till i get the full widths. im going to need either lowers or uppers as i will make the one end fixed. i cant decided which to get...
if you want a higher stall in a 700r4 get a v6 converter they stall at about 2200rpm it will save you to bc it is a stock converter. as far as gear ratio goes if you have a good 350 to something healthy dont gear overly high. 4.10's and 33 will scream on the road. i had 265/75/16 bfgs (approx...
