Hello all, 98 jeep classic, the a/c blows warm, when i turn it on i dont hear anything, doesnt even sound like the compressor is running. It doesnt make clicking noises like its turning on and off or anything. Is there some sort of relay that could be bad and not telling the a/c to turn on...

My 98 does the exact same thing.......i just kinda learned to ignore it but i sure would like to fix it if i knew what was wrong.

Hello, 98 classic, when crusing at speed at i leave off the gas quickly i can feel and hear a thunk in the drivetrain, When stopped and then getting on gas to pull out the is a quick moment of slack and then it goes...what could this be??

I will check that cross brace inside the headliner, it really sounds like thats where its comming from.........now next question, how difficult is it to remove the headliner?? .........

yes the sound can be heard outside, its not super loud but i can hear it driving next to a wall or something, Sound stays pretty constant and doesnt change with speed or motor rpm, in neutraL I can rev the engine and it wont make the sound, only makes it when moving about 20 mph or...

I am going to go crawl under it and check things out, just didnt get out to do it yet.......sorry i am new to this jeep thing. I just thought that maybee if it is known to be a noisy axle i could add some oil additive to it to help. Anyhow i going to check it out before i post again...

Hello, my 98 classic has a rather loud howl comming from the rear when goING about 40-50 mph . Sound changes when i get onor off gas. I dont hear it at other speeds. What could it be? bad rear end?

yes i can feel a clunk when i quick get on or off the gas, indication of bad ujoints? i got undeneath and tryed to see if any play but i couldnt feel anything by hand..........

Yes i just had my tires rotated and balanced.........i still have this shimmy at around 55-60 the passanger seat really shakes and so does the steering wheel, but its not so bad as to be death wobble, just really annoying , i cant figure out what to do next to try to get rid of this shimmy.......

Hi there, trying to figure out problems on my 98 cherokee i just bought. I have what seems to be driveline vibrations at different speeds. I checked the drive shaft for play and could not feel any. Could my u-joints still be bad even if i dont feel any play? They do look a bit rusty and dry...
