can i get the connector off of the newer starter and mount it on the older one so i can use the facory wire connector instead of cutting it off and putting a round eye on it?
well theres no cat or exhaust and it didnt blink before this.he will get a new exhaust on today and then well check codes afterwards if they are still there.
before this the light came on about a month ago with a small evap leak which we were trying to track down.
thank you
my son broke down last nite in his 2000 cherokee.
it died and wouldnt start as he was driving.
we pushed it into a lot and found that a vacuum line had popped off on the intake just below the throttle body.
i found it on the ground right where it originally died and it started once put on again...
thank you all for the advice.
we finally got it last nite.
we opened the large nut(bleeder)on the end of the combination block and pumped the pedal a few times before any fluid came out from around the threads.then we mashed the pedal very hard a few times after we closed that nut back...
thanks again.
last nite we had an emergency and didn't get far with the diagnosis.
I did pull fluid from each reservoir in the mc so it was just under 1/2 filled.then I had him push the pedal just a 1/2 inch down and I saw fluid fountain up from the holes in the bottom of the mc.im sure now that...
thanks guys.
we will look into all of these tonite starting with the pushrod length.ive read to set it properly you take most of the fluid out and then press down on the pedal 3/8 to 1/2 inch and look for the fluid to spout up from the holes at the bottom of the mc.
does this sound right?
this is on my sons 91 xj with a front 60 and a 14 bolt rear.front and back are 3/4 ton chevy disc brakes.we installed this over 8 years ago and have not had a problem with it ever.this rig is mainly driven on the street.when we installed these axles we swapped to the corvette equal reservoir mc...
im sorry maybe im wording this wrong. I do appreciate all of your help and advice and I know if done wrong this could be very bad.is it possible that I am referring to the stock prop valve as the distribution block?this is not my setup its just something I found on the net but it is the master...
ive done this on my sons Toyota(the write-ups said as long as its after the main valve its ok)and ive also done it on my 86 montecarlo to reduce the braking in the rear.
its a dana 60 front with 3/4 ton calipers and a 14 bolt rear with the same 3/4 ton caliper setup.all works fine but in a sudden or panic stop on the street the rears lock up.i would like to adjust just the amount going to the rear after the main prop valve.
I need to install an adjustable prop valve in the rear to keep it from locking up on hard stops.i have a 14 bolt with discs in the rear.ive done this before on other vehicles but ive always installed them in the rear by the diff.the problem ive encountered is that they got cruded up with mud and...
after much searching on here ive come to the conclusion that the leafspring bushings are the same as a stock 94 wrangler.1.5 inch in the rear and 2 inch in the front.
can I just buy a cheaper poly set for the 94 wrangler to use on my 91 xj?
can ayone confirm that these are the actual sizes?i would like to take a set of poly bushings that are larger and machine them down to these sizes.
I wont have the luxury of a machine shop when I take it apart so I would like to make them up before hand.
thanks

the one in the transfer case.mine is a 91 and has only a 2 wire connector.can i swap it for a newer 3 wire sender?the newer style is plentiful in the junkyards and mine seems to be a special order.i recently replaced my gage cluster and all of the connectors went together without any...
