    Water leak at door seal

I would follow that pinch seam up and see if it is coming in higher and exiting where you see the leak. I had the pinch seam at the tailend of roof rail caps cause a leak in the rear quarter like that. I smeared/forced silicone into seam to fix mine. Almost forgot had one like that by hood hinge...

Thank God this happened just as i got home

Burnt a few alternator bearings myself back in my younger days from over tightening. I have a Krikit for both belt types now. Some Napas carry in stock, some don't...

Jeep AC R12 to 134a Conversion

I used these fittings on my 90'. Any auto parts store has a multi pack of green ac o-rings, it had all the ones I needed. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FS3UJA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1...

    Flexplate or lifters ?!?

A mechanics stethoscope is good for pin pointing noises down to a single part. Mine is a basic old one that has a long piece of vacuum hose for listening and I stick a bolt in the end when I want to touch parts for the noise. https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-52500-Mechanics-Stethoscope/dp/B0002SQYSM

    RENIX + MT2500

Solus is the newer version. Quite a bit more coin too. Does a lot more for newer cars, but in the end, Renix will only give you data what ever modern scanner you get. Want to work on newer models too, might be worth getting to you.

    RENIX + MT2500

I knew there was something i was forgetting, has to say Jeep as well. Just confirmed my cartridge, 99' domestic with Jeep (mt2500-1099) and a 98" trouble shooter. As long as you have the right ob2 key, this cartridge works up to about 2003 vehicles too, used it on a dodge and a gm car before...

    RENIX + MT2500

Look at this sold listing. Research these, ideally these will set you up so the scanner is not a one trick pony. Wish they had these when I bought my setup 10 years ago...

    RENIX + MT2500

If I remember right the "thru 97' or 99' domestic" ones are backwards compatible. This might have changed, its been a while since I researched cartridges. At some point they changed the board and are not backwards to obd1. Fuzzy memory is failing me right now. I do know my "thru 97' " definately...

    AW4 trans pan drain plug

A little late to the party, so just FYI this is what I found a while back. Oil Drain Plug Transmission M10-1.50, Head Size 14mm. This size is used on some toyotas and lexus models in mid 2000, chevy aveo too, And they are hard to find locally. A quick fix is hit the Ace hardware and get a...

Back brakes don't seem to engage

You might also upgrade to the double brake booster swap for 96' and up. A late year 95' might have it already, not sure. Tons of posts on it here.

Advice-Front end lower after coil/leaf replacement

I'm afraid you bought bad or mis labeled coils, saved a penny where I wouldn't have. Shocks won't keep you from bottoming out, that's not what they do. Coil springs is where the tension to hold up the vehicle happens. Shocks more or less keep the coil from bouncing un controlled after hitting a...

Advice-Front end lower after coil/leaf replacement

What was the actual measurement or did I miss that post. Read this link so you can decide whether your front coils are sitting at the proper height and have shock issues. I'm sitting at 19.5" w/2" spacers on stock coils with over 300k miles, you should be sitting at 17.5" up front...

Advice-Front end lower after coil/leaf replacement

What is the height of front and back ? Measure from bottom of fender flare to center of axle nut location. Maybe they left off the rubber isolater that sits between coil and it's seat. Lose an inch or so and its metal to metal popping maybe. Didn't some up country xj's have a slightly taller...

Chrysler DRB II Scan Tool (for '89 XJ)

I would have to agree with Ecomike, scan tools for Renix can be useful but for the most part old school troubleshooting gets it done. I have the Snap on mt-2500 with all connectors and keys, with domestic and foreign cartridge up to 97'. There is a trans cartridge, can't remember the specifics...
