It seems that Cheyenne Frontier days has screwed me over. I guess after this stay ends tonight I will be pavement boondocking it until the next reservation I could get at a different CG on Saturday. Good times.
Hello to my Co brothers! This Arizona boy is headed to Fort Collins. I'm a pipe fitter and needless to say work is extremely slow at home so I am hitting the road. I have a job lined up starting Monday. I'm looking for some help finding a campground to park my travel trailer at. I will be...
So code enforcement told me I can't have my parts jeep in the driveway (even though she still looks like she could run). I'm parting her out or someone can take the whole thing.
93 XJ 2 DOOR. Motor is spoken for. 2wd AX15 with new clutch, pressure plate, master, slave, flywheel. The cat...
Yah, that's why I posted up here first. I don't want to tear into a PDC if I don't have too. There's too much chance of creating more problems than I fix even if the problem is there in the first place.
On my old 95 (RIP) I moved my old fuel rail and injectors over to the new manifold. Be sure to use new O rings and lube them with motor oil. That will allow you to run your old fuel pressure regulator as well. The spacing was still correct for my 95. The 99 injectors are indeed a different...
Thanks 8Mud. The fuse described above that is common between the two is listed as fuse #18 in the PDC and is a 15 amp mini fuse. It also lists two separate (one each) of 30 amp maxi type fuses #10 servicing AC clutch relay and #15 servicing the radiator fan relay. That info was taken from the 96...
You will have to slightly re route some of your vac lines but nothing major. It has been a while since I did the same thing on my old rig so I dont remember exactly which lines had to be re done. Just find the best location for each line. The pump does bolt up in a 96+ style bracket and...
It seems like you and I are on similar boats. My 96 is having similar issues with the cooling fan not coming on with the ac as well as the clutch on the ac compressor not engaging, and twitching when reinserting the relays and fuses. I will be keeping an eye on this thread to see what your...
Also, I just swapped the sensor that screws into the Schrader valve on the filter drier with a known good unit out of my lifter 96 and still no result. Now I'm at a total loss here. I've also checked all the other fuses and they are good. Time for me to get out of the hot garage and wait for...
With my DMM I have between 12.77 and 12.80V at the 15amp fuse listed above in the PDC. When reinserting the fuse I get the same momentary on (this time of both components) as before. I can not get them to stay on with the fuse in the same position, all the way in, nor with a jumper wire.
I recently bought a 96 XJ 2wd 4.0L to replace another xj I have thats been giving me too many problems. The prior owner of the "new" xj replaced the AC compressor when it failed with an idler pulley and looped the supply and discharge hoses together. I replaced the ac compressor, filter drier...
Its on my girlfriends 93 XJ 4.0 2WD AX15 that I have been driving to work since its more fuel efficient than my rig. My question is that on occasion she is difficult to shift and sometimes some grinding when upshifting to third gear and fifth gear can be difficult too but no grinding. All my...
What material and diameter was the nipple that was cut? I know that a lot of times the plumbing in RVs tend to be a different size than what we would typically find in a standard construction home due to different flow and demand requirements. If its copper, look into some of the oddball sizes...
I'm in Arizona and so far I have been running a 50/50 premixed green coolant. Whats the best way for accurately achieving a 40/60 mix?
I had been running a new NAPA brand (mfg by Stant) cap. Its now about 4 weeks old.
I replaced the water pump back in April with a new NAPA wp due to leaking...
Just got done driving the XJ and its just as hot now even after all the maintenance as before we started. I am truly stumped. I'm wondering- head gasket? not enough air getting out of the engine bay now?
Thoughts, theories, ideas?
TIA
