Vehicle Stats: '96, 4.0, AX-15, D30/8.25. I just replaced my thermostat. The old one had a little hole of some sort in the metal above the actual thermostat. The new one didn't. What's the hole for? Do I need it?

For those of you running Amsoil in your AX15, are you using Severe Gear or the GL-4 stuff? I can't get a straight answer from Amsoil about whether or not the Severe Gear has sulfur.

I have a '96 w/ a D30 & 8.25 w/ 3.07 gears (5-speed). If I upgrade to 3.55s will I need to replace the carriers or just ring & pinion?
