I just replaced the seals in the rear ARB, and found the line was full of oil.
I pull the lines off of the compressor to test the solenoids and blow the oil out of the rear line. Google says use carb cleaner to blow the lines out.
O-ring seals at the compressor are crushed and some A/C guy has...

My kids jeep will not go into 2WD high. All winter he drove it in FUll-time 4WD. When you shift to 2WD it is actually in Part Time 4WD High. I disconnected the linkage and pry bared it to the 2WD location. I turns out that the linkage is correctly adjusted?
Any help would appreciated.
My son overheated the XJ last night. I figured the aux/fan did not come on, so I told him the fill up the radiator with water and blast heat for the 2 mile return home.
He gets home and says the heat was not that hot, and the temp got up to 250-260! on the way home.
I checked the radiator and...
I just finished installing a 94' YJ poly gas tank into my 88' XJ. This is my 4th tank gas so I decided to go poly. My previous tanks were rusting inside the skidplate.
The donor vehicle was a 94' YJ 4 banger. The fuel pumps ended up being the same.
The YJ tank is like 1" deeper, and 3-4"...
Hey guys,
Sorry for the Willys post (it's my other Jeep). This should be easy for a Willys owner.
The Willys has a steering bar that runs from the manual steering box to the bell-cank up front. It has a hole located near the end where a ball from the bell-crank etc. goes in. On both ends of...
I just ordered a driveshaft spacer for a Ford (mustang) 8.8. It turns out, the pinion yoke/bolt pattern is smaller?
I am currently running the spicer adapter that I purchased from MORE.
Does anybody know which size u-joint this Mustang yoke uses? I was wondering if it's 1310?
Has any body used one of these new twin cutter circular saws? Two carbide tiped saw blade spin in opposite directions. I was wondering how good these might be for cutting body panels?
I just inspected my juckyard 297 axle shafts, and the caps are spinning in the ears. Once I removed the c clips, one of the caps fell out, and the others could be taken out by hand.
Are these axles wasted? or could a use sleeve retainer or some other method to save them.
I am re-posting this from the OEM to get an answer. Does anybody know the size of the tap and die for the tie-rod end? I know it's 11/16th but what is the threads / inch etc...
My floor jack (under load) goes up about 3/4 of the way and then the handle starts to short-stroke and won't go up any more.
The main shaft and pump shaft are little wet with hydraulic fluid but nothing major. What is the procedure for adding fluid?
I want to upgrade my lower re1600 trackbar bushing to a 1/2 bolt.
Inside trackbar diameter dimension 1 1/2 with 1 3/8 depth. steel sleeved accepting 1/2 bolt.
Where do I find a vendor that cross references bushings buy size and NOT application?
The nut on the lower trackbar is buried into the the mount with limited access :( The torx on the front is a T50. I really need to know the correct size of this nut? I need to either buy the correct offset wrench, or start modifiying some of mine to get at this access to it.
Yesterday a friend of mine dropped by to show me him new 2007 Honda Element. Mounted on the firewall is a huge piston with a lot of hydraulic lines. The pistons tie into the tie-rods behind the front wheels! The power steering pump ( no reservoir) feeds this system. This system did not look like...
