Well after 6 years it is time to say goodbye...Traded in the 2000 Cherokee on a Pickup last night..
Loved the Jeep but too many ongoing gremlins made it cost effective to trade out now while I can
Good luck to all....
I have them on my 2000 xj. I tow a boat and found them to be great under load..but they are a little stiffer than I would like if not towing. If you do any off-roading you will be hitting pretty hard..
Also they are a pain to put on...but all that being said they are fantastic for towing, or if...
looks like a great fix to me.. I will be ordering the shield in the am..
BUT I have a stupid question..is the shield used around the intake manifold or on the exhaust header or in between them?
thanks..
My drivers side driving light has been working off/on for last 3 years. There is no rhyme or reason as to when it works. I own a 2000 XJ sport. I was testing the wires and connectors today and needed some advice
disconnected light from connector. Tested the light side of connector and good...
I have a 2000 xj , same problem and from what I have read, in 2000 jeep redisigned intake manifold.. there was a possibility of a fire so they added a heat shield (tinfoil looking thing).. well this has caused problems with the #3 injector causing it to miss..I have read on here where there is...
Cooper tires have had some decent reviews and I love them on my 2000 xj.. Cooper Discover H/T are a great deal in my opinion. Price is decent, less than other brands, mileage is good. Handling has been awesome.. I use my jeep for hunting, fishing, etc.. have never been disappointed..
I have Discover h/t on my 2000 xj and love them...getting a little slick in raining weather but also have 40,000 miles on them and plenty to go.
I had looked at Dunlops before getting these and $ for $ are a great deal
I have a set of Cooper Discoverer H/T on my 2000 XJ, I love them.. have 50,000 miles on them and still going strong.. I dont do serious off roading but tow a boat and use it in the woods for hunting, camping, etc.. Havent had any major faults w/ them.. as they age though getting a bit slicker in...
I just posted on another thread but had similar issue w/ my 2000. It works wonderful now...
Had my brothers shop drain/refill the system.. Machine also did a pressure test to make sure there were no leaks..
good luck
I just had mine drained and re-filled. had been blowing warmer air.. not really enough to cool down.. also I could hear the a/c compressor cylcing on/off quite a bit..
work great after a new boost..
I have a 2000 XJ Sport. The power window control on the drivers side has been acting up..long and short of it.. all the windows work except for passenger side window. they can put it down but not up.. sometimes drivers side will work. checked motor and is fine.. also the lock out switch on...
I went to a local boating store and the had the adapter. It plugged inline inside the left part of rear. I had to pull spare tire out, etc but it just snapped right in.
there have also been other posts about this.. apparently the gurus at chrsyler changed the intake manifold for 2000, this created a problem where your engine may catch fire.. The solution was to put a silver heat shield under the injectors.
Well the down side to this is the fuel rail is...
