Ok, I pulled the IAC out, it was black. So I cleaned it, cleaned the head of it at least. Is there a way to check to see if it is functioning? The only way I can get my Jeep to run is to start it up and press the gas, otherwise it dies.

Well, I had a defective pump for sure so once I got the new pump(that worked) things went fairly well. Getting the tank up and down was pretty challenging but I managed to do pretty well granted I was by myself. Now that I know what Im' doing if I need to replace it again I don't think I'll need...

I finally got the rotor off, I was basically up on top of the motor pullin that sucker, I nearly fell once it came off...I think it's the first time it's been replaced in at least 4 years but more I'm sure...

So I'm trying to get the rotor off, but i'm having problems.... book says just pull it off, but uh, it seems to be on there pretty good. Should I just be pulling in off or is there a "button" or something I need to puch to release th rotor? man I feel dumb lol ~Scott

Well, after switching the terminals and testing it to see if it would pump anything I've decided to head over and swap if for another...not sure what else to do...

Ok, so I connected the pump after switching the pos. and neg. I still didn't get anything. Any other suggestions on how to test that this pump is actually working? I can hear it but I don't see it producing anything...the tank is obviously not pressurized at this point but with the pump grabing...

I took the tank down, no problems there. I looked at the pump and it's connected correctly as far as tubes go. I guess I'll switch the positive and negitive to see if that chagnes anything. Think I can leave the tank down just connect the electrical part of the pump, turn the key and see if it...
